Quite honestly — everything!
My daughter and I are self-confessed afternoon tea enthusiasts, having indulged in countless high teas across the country, many of which come with a price tag close to £100 per person. That said, I can confidently say that the Upwey Wishing Well offers one of the best afternoon teas we’ve ever had.
When you factor in value for money, this venue easily takes the top spot for the best vegan afternoon/high tea I’ve experienced to date. Not only was the food beautifully presented and of a high standard, but the variety on offer was impressive — something that’s often lacking with vegan options elsewhere.
Vegan afternoon teas can sadly be hit or miss (and I’ve had some truly terrible ones!), so I’m thrilled to say that Upwey Wishing Well has completely restored my faith. The setting is charming, the staff were incredibly welcoming, and the whole experience was so positive that I felt it only right to share just how much I appreciated the service and care during our visit.
If you’re looking for a quality vegan afternoon tea, I highly recommend booking in advance (at least 48 hours notice is required). In my opinion, this is one of the UK’s best spots for vegan high tea, so give it a try

i had the vegan creamtea which was delicious. they do coffee and tea with oat- or soymilk. they have vegan cake, milkshakes and breakfast aswell. really friendly staff.
