I live near a few food co-ops, but this is by FAR the best. They buy local whenever possible, and most (if not all) of their produce is organic. The thing is, it's higher quality organic as it's usually local. Their prices are the best I've seen, they have the best selection of organic bulk foods around (which is interesting as the bigger stores have far fewer organic bulk items) and a really good variety of foods. They also offer a program where you earn points for what you spend and can earn a 10% discount on a purchase of any size. Wonderful!! They have a cafe with really yummy foods and delicious soups. Finally their staff is wildly knowledgable and the place is just really welcoming.

Pros: Good variety, Good pricing, Great staff

Cons: Needs more vegetarian pasta-less casseroles

Nice little co-op - Edit

This is a nice little co-op, crammed full of a good selection of local and natural foods, and some good vegetarian deli selections. The only drawback is that it is wildly expensive, which keeps us from doing major shopping there.

It should be noted, however, that they do a good job of stocking organic and natural foods, unlike the Hanover/Lebanon co-ops, and their organic/local produce section is the best around.
