Most Vegan Options I've Ever Seen - Edit
Regrettably we only went here after lunch for a cake. Their menu is huge, so many options from burgers, pasta, pizza, hotdogs, salads, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and of course lots of cakes. The cakes we ordered were very good, and they do have boxes so you can take them away.
Pros: So many options!

Choice and charm! - Edit
On my recent trip to Firenze I visited Universo Vegano four times, three times for a sit-down meal and once for a takeaway. They have a great range of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and pasta dishes. The place was very clean inside, though it's location in a picturesque square meant we sat outside each time we dined there. They had a good meal deal where you could add a delicious cake or a side dish to your meal for a reduced rate. The staff were very helpful and friendly each time I went, and could explain everything in good English. The value for money was very good, especially in Firenze where some things were quite expensive. My vebab pizza had a huge amount of vebab on top of it. If I'm lucky enough to visit Firenze again, this will be my first food stop.
Pros: great choice of food, excellent value for money, friendly and helpful staff

Great food - Edit
I really loved the veghizza carciofi e olive. I also had this little fruit "cake" (can't remember the name) which was super delicious. Totally recommend you going there if you ever visit Florence 💘

not everything recomendable - Edit
I didn't have a good experience at this restaurant. Went there around 6pm and they said half of the menu was already run out of. So we had very limited choices. The food we finally ordered (pasta and meat dish see photos) was awful. very bad quality and not fresh. I think the best opinions here are sandwiches and burger, not the hearty dishes

Vegan heaven in Firenze - Edit
This Italian chain offers really an amazing vegan choice. From croissants to pizza, burgers, lasagna, sandwiches, pastries, you should find what you want, including to drink. We came and tried the croissants, the lasagna and one pizza and we liked everything. Portions and quality are fair regarding the prices. The place is brand new and pleasant, with tables outside. The staff is friendly and efficient so we did not wait very long. The place is also open continuously which make it a good choice for a quick bite or a breakfast. I would definitely try it again.
Pros: huge choice, good food, affordable, pleasant place, friendly staff

Awful - Edit
I would leave this a one star review if possible. I was excited with all the options and ended up getting pizza. It was gross. No flavor, bad crust, not cooked. Would not recommend at all (at least the pizza).

delicious - Edit
so good. amazing burgers but also does not fast food, food. rice, pasta, and soy/wheat faux meat that you woukd swear is meat. my burger was very decadent but I went there for Christmas lunch so why not!? desserts are amazingly delicious and so many to choose from. They have multiple locations so I can't wait to try everything else when I go to rome and Milan!!!

Great Food! - Edit
I visited Universo Vegano in Rome last year and loved it so was pleased there is one in Florence too. I visited 3 times this holiday. Every time it was great. I had the Vebab, Marine wrap and the Ocean Taste. All were very yummy, especially the Vebab. The desserts are great too, although very sweet and a bit too much for one person to eat alone, probably best to share one. I had several fresh juices too, which were amazing.
The staff were really lovely and friendly. The menu is in English and Italian which was helpful for us. Staff spoke good English too, helpful seeing as my Italian is terrible. There aren't too many seats though and it was busy every time we went. We still managed to find a place to sit though.
I will definitely go to Universo Vegano when I am in Italy again!
Pros: Excellent food, well priced, Lovely staff, Menu in English and Italian
Cons: Might not always get a seat when very busy.

incredible choices! - Edit
A hugely comprehensive menu with burgers, wraps, sandwiches, pasta, desserts, anything you could want! The burgers are huge and a very filling meal, many meat substitutes available. The bombe Alaska dessert is incredible, couldn't tell it was vegan. Staff incredibly friendly and beautiful English, so worth it.

Good food, big selection - Edit
I had a burger which wasn't super great or "realistic" but it tasted good and the cheese on it was good. For dessert I had pain au chocolat which was amazing!

Friendly staff, tasty Italian fast-food vegan alternatives - Edit
Amazing staff! Very friendly and helpful, created a welcoming atmosphere:)) And although the food served here is probably not the healthiest... it is a definitely creative and tasty Italian bistro with fat lasagne, pizzas and sandwiches! However, I would have liked it better if the dishes I had - tuna salad and vegetable soup ("healthier" choises of mine) contained little less fat, but as for the lasagne - I definitely didn't mind the extra cheese it had on! Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
Pros: Wonderful staff!, Free Wi-Fi, Creative and tasty alternatives for the typical It
Cons: some dishes (salads and some desserts) little too

Love it! - Edit
We went to UV in Rome and were very excited to come again.
The actual restaurant here was much nicer than in Rome, and it had a toilet!
Unfortunately they had no pizzas, and when we ordered something else the guy made mum something wrong. He was very sweet about it though. When the right one came they were SO delicious.
He gave us 2 lil chocolate truffles to say sorry and I got 2 lil cookies for me, both so yummy.
And so cheap!! 2 sandwiches, 4 lil choc things, water and a beer was only 17 euros. Cheapest meal all holiday!
Pros: Delicious Food, Nice atmosphere, Cheap
Cons: No pizzas, Got order wrong

Nice food and friendly staff - Edit
I had lunch at Universo Vegano yesterday with my gf. We were welcomed by a very friendly waiter, we ate a great focaccina and a good spinach burger, accompanied by some soyballs with vegan mayonnaise. Then we had the Vegamisu (vegan tiramisu) and it was really tasty! All cakes are served as "mini-cakes", nice to see and also very good (actually, we also bought a mini-sachertorte to take away and it also tasted great!).
If you are in a rush it may not be your cup of tea, as they cook everything you order (panini, pasta, risotto...) only after you have placed the order (nothing is prepared + heated in the microwave). In any case, it's only a matter of waiting a few minutes!
Pros: Friendly staff, Good food, Amazing mini-cakes

Took my non-vegan friend, he loved it. So it's good for all.
Also very central.

refreshing- healthy and fresh - Edit
UV has free wifi, but more importantly they have great food and a kind staff. I came hoping for a chocolate of some kind. Unfortunately I am allergic to soy and all their sweets contain soymilk. Instead, their waitress took me through all their options. I decided on a green juice (much needed after all of italy's pizza and pasta) and I was not disapointed. This was exactly what I needed after binging on carbs. Not only was I pleased by my drink, the kind interaction with their staff made my day. I am hoping to come back tomorrow.
Pros: friendly staff, fresh fruit and veg, safe neighborhood at night
Cons: desserts all contain soy

Good food - Edit
My husband and I recently had lunch at Universo Vegano in Florence, Italy. The restaurant is small and very busy at lunchtime, but we managed to get a seat.
The person taking the orders was helpful . The food was good and filling. The desserts and croissants looked good, but I didn't have room to try them after my meal.
Pros: Varied menu, Meal ordered was tasty, Not overly expensive
Cons: Very small: hard to find a seat, A bit difficult to locate the restaurant

Fresh fast food - Edit
First of all, it was the first time that I entered a place in Italy and the service was able to speak English. I mean more than just handing the English menu over to you. They were very friendly, too.
I had a wrap (”Inca”) which tasted quite good but I didn't like the cheese very much and I thought there was a lot of it inside but this is a matter of taste and it was written on the menu that there was vegan cheese in it, I should have eaten something different instead.
For dessert I had the cheesecake which was delicious and filling.
Prices were ok.
I would go there again and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who's visiting Florence and likes good fast food.
Pros: Tasty food, friendly, English speaking staff, central, easy to find

Simple, quick and tasty! - Edit
My gf and I came here for dinner and lunch again the next day. The lasagne I got tasted like the real thing but was sadly too small a portion. Lunch the next afternoon was much better, I heartily recommend their sandwiches or wraps! Fresh bread and interesting fillings. Their desserts, pastries and drinks were great too.
The staff were friendly and spoke great English, not always guaranteed in Italy!
I would be a regular if I lived in Florencel
Pros: Tasty pastries and cakes , Great sandwiches, Nice staff

very good vegan fast food - Edit
The food here is very good when you're looking for an easy option with all vegan ingredients. There are many burgers, wraps, etc. options. My daughter likes the pizza and lasagna. There are also juices and smoothies available, and some good desserts too. Staff have always been quite friendly when we've visited, and they are often open when other vegan/vegetarian options in Florence are closed.
Pros: tastes good , many options , economical
Cons: sometimes certain selections aren't available

Dessert First Please - Edit
This is a casual place with a small area for indoor and outdoor seating but the perfect place to grab a bite while wandering around Florence. You can watch the bustle go by as you sit and eat.
When you enter, the first thing you will see is an amazing display of desserts. Little cakes, and tarts, and chocolate. All vegan!
The staff all speak English and even had an English version of their menu. We ate here every single day while in Florence. They have pizzas, burgers, smoothies, and plated entrees of all sorts.
Pros: Vegan options, Desserts, Friendly staff
Cons: None

Fast food ambiance with fantastic 100% vegan food. We had burgers - the spinach burger is delicious - and desert - the vegamisu. A real treat. Will definitely revisit. Says it's open till midnight most nights so good for a bite to eat on the way home.
Pros: Good value , Wide selection of burgers and deserts, It all looks as delicious as it tastes!

Very good - Edit
Finally a very nice place to eat on my trip to Italy. It was cheap, good to sit (inside and outside), very friendly stuff and a lot of options. It is mostly unhealthy food and fast food restaurant, but if you are hungry, then it is perfect.
I would totally recommend it.
Pros: food, atmosphere, staff
Cons: unhealthy

Decent Food - Edit
I ordered something that was like potato gnocchi in a dry (possibly fried) crust. Basically tasted like vegan fast food and was delivered quickly like a fast food joint.
It has a feel like a Panera bread fast casual. Like any fast-ish food place, not as tasty as the traditional sit-down restaurants, but it's also a good bit cheaper and no cover charge. (Italian restaurants usually charge a few euros per person at the table, called "cover".) It's more expensive than I'm accustomed to in the USA, but that's true for everything in Florence. Compared to other Florentine offerings it's fairly cheap. So think of this as Florence's value vegan offering. Go there for the convenience and the prices. It's not the place to go if you're looking for a romantic or gourmet Tuscan cooking.
Also has free wi-fi, a nice perk. It's also closer to the tourist center than some of the other veg offerings.
Pros: Fast food at good prices., Free wi-fi., Close to the town center.
Cons: Fast food-ish taste.

Wow! - Edit
A huge selection of vegan choices -pizza, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts. Excellent, extremely
friendly service.
Pros: great food, great service, located in central Florence
Cons: not really a "con" - but this not a "fancy" sit-do

What a treat! - Edit
Lovely place with loads of options - as always in vegan places was spoilt for choice. Personally not much of a fake meat/cheese fan but enjoyed the meal as a one off very much. The chocolate puddings were definitely a treat!

Vegan revolution in Italy! - Edit
Coincidentally we bumped into this place and were pleasantly surprised by the great variety and 100% plant based options. Admitted, the meat substitutes are a bit dry and in general the flavors were a bit faint but what a treat to have so many options. In the morning we tried the smoothies (pity they were lukewarm) and cheesecake (a bit plastic taste) and in the afternoon we tried the beach burger and salad (hugs portions) We kept the ' vegan kiss' for next time....

great food and people - Edit
While vacationing in Firenze we stopped in. We had been to the one in Milano and enjoyed it. This store has a more expansive menu with other options such as lasagna. The food was fantastic. We went three times during our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and believed in their products. I highly recommend it!

Worth a visit - Edit
The restaurant is near the church Santa Croche, still in the city center, we had some litte problems to find it.
Universo Vergano is an Italien fast food chain, means: The menue is the same in all locations, and the restaurants look very similar. The one in Florence is small, but the interior is friendly.
But more important: The food is good. We had a pizza and vegetable dish, with fries, and a drink. Most beverages are organic.
We can recommand the restaurent.
Pros: Choices, Value for money
