Great dim sum and meals - Edit
We had the sesame tofu, pan fried veggie dumplings, and pan fried veggie buns. Everything was delicious. Favorite was the sesame tofu…with I had time to go eat it again.

Fantastic and worth visiting - Edit
One important note: the Peking duck is listed as vegan on their online menu as of 04/2024 but it actually contains a small amount of egg. Some of the menus in the restaurant have been marked to reflect this and some seemingly haven’t been. It *used to be* vegan and they apparently hit supplier issues. :(
Read moreEverything here is great otherwise, it gets so much closer than any other non-omni Chinese place we’ve tried. Would absolutely go back.
Pros: Wide selection , Great and helpful staff
Cons: Online menu isn’t fully up to date :(

It’s our weekly stop now 😂 - Edit
Order the Golden rings! We’ve been there a number of times and have tried many different plates-all were great! The sizzling tofu was simple but delicious. And the Gen tso seitan has vegan option-so like a chicken, it will blow your mind. Shumai and the Shanghai dumplings 👌

The food is amazing. Beware! The veggie pork dumplings are quite spicy, tho this isn’t noted on the menu.

Excellent dim sum - Edit
The “pork” buns! The green beans! Everything I ate here was excellent. Vegan options clearly marked. I went with a bunch of meat-eaters and they were all impressed.

Great sharing option for groups - Edit
We loved everything here. They do a fabulous job, it’s perfect for sharing and an affordable yet adventurous option. Any of their dim sum as well as noodles and fresh veggies are all worth a try. Even better that it’s BYOB!!! #Veganuary

Wow! (DoorDash Delivery Order) - Edit
Didn't really expect much here, considering the other vegan chinese places we've tried in the area. But this blew us away! The General Tsos Tofu and Chow Mei Fun were absolutely incredible, and both are vegan (and peanut free) as is! Called in to double check a couple of allergies and the worker was super kind, helpful, and even offered to help us come up with solutions for dishes we couldn't eat.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
It’s nice being able to order most things on the menu, but nothing we had stood out to me as being something I’d particularly want to order again. To be fair, I ordered through a delivery service so that does lessen the quality of the food somewhat (the ribs, for example, might’ve been crisp if I’d had them in restaurant). The prices were not terrible compared to many of the Philly restaurants I tried while visiting.

Perfect - Edit
Outstanding Chinese. Fresh, flavorful, delicious. The As-You-Wish chef special with pea leaves was lovely. Perfectly cooked, rich vegetable with excellent freshly cooked mushrooms wrapped in crispy tofu skin. Mostly vegan menu, all vegetarian, clearly marked. Nice staff, too.

Great vegan dim sum - Edit
Three of us ordered all dim sum. There are many choices and all were very good. The Gold and Jade on the specialty entrees had very tasty roasted tofu. Will definitely be coming back.

A delightful experience - Edit
We ate at Unit Su Vege in Philadelphia for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is an entirely vegan/vegetarian Chinese restaurant with the majority of items being vegan. They also have gluten free items, too. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Although my husband would have preferred his dish be spicier, he still really liked it and agreed that it was a place he would like to come back to eat at again.

Good Vegan Options - Edit
The fried rice and shu mai were the best out of what we ordered and I really enjoyed both. I would not order the soup dumplings again, though. Parking in the area was atrocious so we ended up parking at nearby Whole Foods.

Amazing Chinese - Edit
The food at Unit Su Vege is so good it will convert your carnivorous friends. I highly recommend anything from their Dim Sum menu as well as the General Tsao's Tofu, and fried rice. Whenever I've eaten there, I haven't felt rushed and the staff are so kind. I'm always able to enjoy a pot of tea and whatever food I order at a pace that feels comfortable. And they've never once gotten a takeout order incorrect either!

Finally , vegan dim sum - Edit
It's great to have a vegan dim sum restaurant, there used to be one located in Chinatown but the owners retired. As many mentioned, the menu is not 100% vegan but GF and V items are clearly marked.

Incredible faux meat - Edit
I tried the shumai, Shanghai dumplings, BBQ, and kung pao buns. Everything was amazing but the kung pao buns were spectacular and the BBQ “meat” actually has a crispy “skin” that would fool a meat-eater. #Veganuary

The real deal - Edit
I've been to Unit Su Vege five times now, and each time I feel it just gets better. It's wonderful having a dim sum option where you don't have to specify vegan. I've yeat to try something I didn't like, and the staff are friendly and willing to recommend dishes if you can't decide.
