Great food, amazing prices - Edit
Not much to say really, lovely vegan voku. When we were there the food was incredible, and the suggested donation is just what you pay for a coffee in a commercial bar. Friendly people too. Loved it!

Sunday brunch isn't happening on a regular basis - Edit
There is a people's kitchen every Thursday night at Ungdomshuset, where you can either volunteer and help make the meals or just come and buy a cheap meal, made by volunteers.

Vegan People's Kitchen - Edit
Nice place with cheap vegan food in Copenhagen Nordvest. Every Thursday evening there is a people's kitchen, with varying dishes every week. The foood is good, simple and often a bit greasy. Their burgers are always delicious! Once a month there is also a vegan brunch, with a huge buffet and usually pay by donation. Nice place, good atmosphere. Its good to be there in time, because it usually gets very busy and it can get difficult to get a spot to sit inside.

Interesting - Edit
This concept should be everywhere. Folkekøkken are peoples kitchen. All about eating good food and socialised at a low budget. Just 25 DKK a plate. They have dinner on most Thursdays. Need to check their FB page for updates and what on the plates for that day.
Read moreNo menu system. Sort of like buffet style but limited to a plate for the price. Every time you will get a different meal.

A Community Meal - Edit
"Folkekøkkenet" (Community kitchen) in Ungdomshuset is a great place to come and eat a solid dinner very cheap and in alternative surroundings.
Read moreThe food variates a lot since most of the food is donations and the treasures from dumpster diving. But the volonteer-kitchen crew always dish up with something interesting.
However a lot of people comes by, so to avoid long lines - be there a while before.
OR participate in the free hatha yoga classes in the house from 5-7pm, before hitting in the plates.

Serve is served at approx. 7pm on thursdays, people need to line up and get given a serving.
For 20 kr it is a very nice meal.
Pros: all vegan, motsly organic
Cons: only once a week

Cheap and tasty - Edit
It's one of numerous folk kitchens in Copenhagen - a very alternative punk place. Do not expect fake smiles here. The place is not very clean (+ it's very alternative, with graffiti on walls) but the kitchen is (it is very well equipped + they have the best evaluation of Danish hygiene authorities, so no worries here).
Read moreThey serve dinner on Thursday evenings, you get a plate of vegan food for just 20DKK donation (this is a real bargain in Copenhagen) + they usually have coffee, tea and vegan rolls and croissants, you do not have to pay extra for that.
Their brunches are very good, and so are their cake orgies.
They usually close on Christmas season and other occasions and forget to update their website. ;)
But, all in all, this place is definitely worth visiting, esp. if you are into alternative stuff.
Pros: Nice food, All vegan!, Very clean kitchen
Cons: Can get really crowded, A bit far from the center, The seating area is a bit dirty

just a comment about the seating area being dirty, it is an alternative Space but people are ´cleaning this area before serving on thursdays so it is not covered in dirt or unhygenic
