Great "small plates" event Undercrag Supper! - Edit
We'd eaten here before for lunch and noticed on social media that they were doing an evening event. 5 of us went along BYOB (wine and some non-alcoholic beer for the driver) .

The service was comfortable, warm and authentic.
We were delighted to see the whole menu was vegan so we could have had all of it (and we nearly did as the small dishes were great to share)
We will keep an eye and come to these events again.
Pros: creative menu, cosy
Cons: limited opening hours (this does make it a treat)

Wow what an awesome place this is, a beautiful place with a cool chilled vibe. We ordered carrot & cumin soup, a noodle salad two teas with oat milk, fennel and beet kraut and edgy veggies. The food was fantastic, good sized portions and gorgeous. We were too full for cakes but they had vegan cakes galore so we are going to call for coffee and cake before we go home .. Absolutely wonderful place.

Delicious food from a seasonal menu. Locally created artwork displayed and available to purchase. Friendly staff who are happy to chat. Big slices of cake! Slightly out the way but worth the journey. If it were totally vegan it would get 5 stars.

Been going a few years now, friendly staff, family run, excellent vegan cakes incl Chocolate Guiness fudge cake. Excellent espresso and you can buy the beans. Outside seating very nice and quiet.

Surprised to find this little place on our walk from Coniston to Torver. Small place with limited tables but there’s outside seating of the weather’s good. Cakes are tasty and good portions. Friendly staff and a wonderful artistic atmosphere

The food was absolutely top notch. Fabulous soup, beetroot hummus toast and an excellent ginger cake. Very cool that this place is so busy given its remote location. The food is artistically presented but not at the expense of flavour. The menu is small but I wanted to try everything on it. The location is outside the small village of Torver, in a converted farm (?) so it is completely rural and I can't imagine a better place for such a delicious meal.

A brucey bonus was the water - free and it's from a spring!
I also do not say "great coffee" lightly, but this certainly was.
This could be the perfect cafe.

Read moreThe staff are amazing, the food is always more than impressive with loads of vegan options on the menu, including the best sandwich ever, black pepper tofu sandwich, and cake, such great cake!
The atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing, I wish I could reserve a table to work at every day instead of my office while.
Oh, and there's a supper club once a month with a separate menu which is well worth booking well in advance as it's very popular!

Excellent little place, beautiful artwork, little fairy lights, wooden tables and delicious food. Honestly worth a visit and you feel you could sit for hours. Friendly service and dog friendly.

What a marvellous find. A specialist Vegan /Vegetarian cafe with a knowledgeable owner. Excellent food with plenty of choice. Good coffee. And cake. Some wonderful craft gifts and paintings. If you are in the Lake District, this place is not to be missed.
