I ate here two days in a row during my visit to Long Beach. I ordered different things each time and got to try several mains and desserts. The cult toast, the papaya rolls, and the ISH burger were especially delicious. I thought the Stayin Alive burrito was just OK and needed a little oomph. Dessert-wise, I'd recommend the chocolate cheesecake and the carrot cake. The brownie looked really good but lacked that dark, robust cocoa flavor I was looking for. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Prices were more than reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food. The dining space is bright and spacious. What's not to like?

Beautiful Food and Environment - Edit
There is both street and lot parking available for this location (they don't validate). The environment in the restaurant is beautiful live plants dotting the tables and locally crafted artwork displayed on the walls. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. There are so many choices that the beverages and the food items are presented on separate menus. Customers order at the counter and food is delivered to the table. One of the best things about Under the Sun Cafe is that it's offerings are raw; this makes it a standout among the other Vegan establishments in the area. The menu items are beautifully presented and very unique, not to mention delicious. All items are great for sharing (this way more tasting takes place). There are cooler cases that present items available for take home (including locally created kombucha, fermented veggies, and amazing desserts).

We had the tu-nah wrap, blue moon cheesecake and chocolate truffles. The food was delicious and so healthy!! The desserts are fantastic. They really know what they’re doing with those ingredients.

This place is new and did no marketing! What!? Don’t miss out on it and then share about it! It’s amazing! The food is so fresh! And, they serve LOCAL kombucha. Sorry I forgot to take pics but we had the Celestial Rose smoothie. It came with rose petals on top and genuine sky tasted like strawberries and rose. We had the Banana toast, Stayin Alive Burrito, and the Nacho Mama for our meal. All were delicious! For dessert we had an amazing almond butter brownie and chocolate mousse pie. Very delicious and not overly sweet. They only use coconut for sweetness. And the staff is so wonderful and helpful.

I ordered the raw vegan tuna wrap.
ThenissuenI had with it was that the filling tasted a bit bland and was in no way like tuna. More like a nut spread.
I will have to try other things on the menu to make a proper assessment.

Everything you'd expect from a raw, vegan restaurant. Very fresh and healthy. Some creative options. Tasty stuff, but like with most raw restaurants, some flavors are lacking. Also, if you have a huge appetite, you'll need to order a lot to get full, which gets expensive quick! Happy to have a healthy place like this in the neighborhood!

This is a really nice and clean cafe. The food is delish and filling. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The restrooms are clean. The food menu selection is a bit small but the drink menu selection is bigger. If you have a sweet tooth they have a ton of desserts. I would definitely come back to try more menu items.

I have been eating plant-based for about 6months. A friend at work told me about this delicious new place. I came here Saturday with daughter (also PB) and my son (carnivore) we all loved the food, we tasted each others too! Breakfast burrito, Tu-Nah Wrap & LBC sandwich.
