Crepe was good

This restaurant is only open until 3pm so is pretty much a brunch place. We checked out their website before going to the restaurant and were disappointed that a vegan item on the online menu had been removed from the paper menu and the website was not updated. As some other reviewers indicated, there were not a ton of vegan items to begin with. We decided on the gluten free crepes because vegan crepes are not common in Edmonton, whereas the other vegan/vegan option items are pretty ubiquitous at other restaurants (e.g. granola, and some sort of breakfast plate with hashbrowns). The crepe was good. It came topped with fresh fruit, toasted hazelnuts, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a side of maple syrup. Their menu says the food is seasonal and changes frequently, so we would definitely consider eating there again if the have something that looks interesting.

Pros: Good crepes, Central Location with outdoor patio

Cons: Limited vegan items, Website might not be accurate

Really lovely vegan brunch

Tucked into the side of Blushlane, this place has perfect location, great ambiance, access to great food and great coffee, and they do a good job of living up to the surroundings. I have been a couple of times and like it as a brunch spot best. Menu is good with good vegan options.

Pros: Decent vegan options

Cons: A little pricey

Classy and delicious

The particular evening I dined at Under The High Wheel I was lucky enough to be able to have the soup of the day. It was a tasty cream zucchini and dill soup, which was great but it was served with a cheese scone which was confusing because I informed the server that I was vegan. I finished the soup and left the scone on the side. For the main dish I had a red pepper crepe that was generously filled with vegetables. It was good but would be nice to see more vegan options on their menus. (Written 11/08/16)

Revisiting their website indicates that they have removed this item and vegan options.

Cons: Lack of vegan options

Unimpressed

I went here for a business meeting, but not sure what all the fuss is about. I had the veggie burger and found it to be soggy, the bun was falling apart it was so damp. Side salad was a bit boring too. Overpriced and overly busy.

Pros: Popular location

Cons: Food just OK, Not very many vegan options
