Try the Reuben - Edit
The Reuben is incredible. I wish they had the mushroom burger but the Reuben is still great. Hummus and Pita is a good appetizer and makes a good fry dip.

Vegan Chef - Edit
In my opinion, this restaurant has potential to be a very popular spot. If I lived in the area, I would frequent it more often and make simple suggestions, The first being, more marketing and have the resources to back it up.
Read moreA good vegan chef for starters. Offer 4 or 5 simple, nutritious, tasty, vegan options to start. Then build from there.
The location is perfect for success. It's on the way to Mohegan Sun and right across the street from a wonderful dispensary.
I saw potential and with an investment of a decent vegan chef, a reputation would be established, and success is on the horizon.
I enjoyed the large dining area, and the staff was friendly.

An endurance test for your patience - Edit
First, the positives. The exterior architecture is scenic, the interior picturesque, especially for a self-described diner. Once seated, you would never know you were inside a diner until you glimpsed the regular menu, which is standard American diner food. Take a seat in the far corner by the window, and during your long wait for your food you can entertain yourself by observing the steady car traffic to and from the hybrid medical and recreational cannabis dispensary.
Read moreNow, the negatives. Don’t believe Everything you read. Actually, don’t believe Anything you read. The fictitious vegan menu here is a total figment of someone's wild imagination. On its large streetside placard are advertised: Lobster Roll, Beef something, Pork something, Vegan Menu. Yet, you need to specially request the Vegan Menu, for which the waitress must shuffle around to find. When she handed it to us, she did not advise what menu items were not available. Only later, when we were ready order, did she advise that one item was not available. Fair enough. So we placed our order for the two dinner entrées that comprised mostly vegetables and were not fried. A few minutes later, the cook appeared to apologize that neither of our two choices was available. Not fair enough.
What was available? Only those items that can be stored frozen and then boiled, such as the tempeh, or dished out from store-bought prepared food, such as the hummus, or whipped up from a dry mixture, such as the “meatballs.” You might as well shop at a supermarket and prepare it all yourself, especially when the service is lackluster and the bland food that eventually is served is lusterless. The tempeh in the reuben, served on white bread, was an unflavored single whole slab. It came with fries, diner lingo for fried potatoes, that my lax vegetarian friend nevertheless ate, as she did not care what meat products surely were also fried in that oil.
Perhaps years ago, on the day the menu was printed, the ingredients were in stock for all those dishes listed, but since then they must never have been replenished. Why not just revise the old and obsolete menu? Why not just delete the separate vegan menu altogether? Answer: to lure us unwary vegans inside their door.
Pros: scenic exterior architecture, picturesque interior , view of the cannabis dispensary across the street
Cons: the fictitious vegan menu, the lackluster service, the lusterless food

Worst vegan food ever!!! - Edit
We went in excitedly because it’s local and we usually drive far for food. We asked what the burger was made from and waitress was rude and un knowledge 🚩we got the food and honestly, it was not looking good 🚩but decided to try anyway. The tempeh was literally straight out of its package and slapped on the tortilla, the burger was pasty af. Just an overall horrible experience. I called the owner to try to offer help on some menu items and tell of my experience and he “was not available” and never returned my call.

Happy to see options in the area - Edit
We went in a Monday morning, it was just us and two other tables, service was good but the cook seemed almost pissed off about our order, it was a whole thing back in the kitchen and then he very hap hazardous threw a hummus wrap together. I mean it was good but a little effort closing it up would have been nice.. oh well.

TERRIBLE SERVICE - Edit
I don’t usually like to say bad things about local restaurants- but this place is downright grungy. Service is slow, owner/manager is combative to feedback, and I honestly don’t trust that the vegan offerings are not cross-contaminated.

Not bad, not great - Edit
I was very excited to see a restaurant in town with a vegan menu that had more than just an impossible burger on it so I had to check it out ASAP. We went for an early lunch on a Saturday and it was decently busy since they serve breakfast too and the service was unfortunately very slow. I'm usually very patient in situations like this because I know how crazy working in a restaurant can be but when our server finally came over to get our drink orders she was not very friendly and didn't apologize for the wait or anything. The service continued this way which was disappointing but maybe it was just a bad morning? Anyway, the vegan menu is separate from the regular menu and you have to ask for it but it is a full page menu with quite a few options which is nice. They did say they don't start offering pizza or dinner items until after 2pm... not sure if that's a weekend or an every day thing. So I ordered a falafel wrap with fries and it was quite good! Especially the falafel itself. Average portion size for the price but I expected more of the "cucumber salsa" in the wrap and the fries could have been a little more crispy. I will try again for dinner to see if the service is better and to try their spaghetti and "meatballs".

Cons: Slow/ Unfriendly Service
