Not plant based - Edit
Calls itself a Plant Based Eatery: serves eggs and dairy. Food was average, one slice of bread was thin and propey toasted the other larger and barely toasted. Mushrooms too oily, the oil overwhelmed the flavour. Basically 2 Vegan options... don't bother - for the price not worth going
Read morePros: Wasn't many people there
Cons: Yes too expensive for what it is.

Nice looking place and was very keen to go there....but...
Read moreI don't understand why a place would call itself plant based when it is not.
They serve eggs and diary, so it felt it bit deceitful. Which is a shame.
It is abundant with beautiful, fresh, mostly organic fruit and veg, which looks and feels great. They also sell other yummy wholefood produce.
Nice place, just know it is not vegan to save feeling a bit disappointed.
Pros: Nice looking space. Fresh fruit and veg for sale..
Cons: States it is plant based and is not..

A not so terrible option - Edit
I was really put off by the fact that they describe themselves as “plant based” on all their signage, and then you walk in and there is cheese on practically everything, eggs, cow’s milk yoghurt, etc. That being said, it certainly is a better option than a meat spot.
Read moreThe vegan options are about 25% of the menu and they def do not know what it means to be vegan, so you must be very specific about cross contamination. Other than that, good food and beautiful atmosphere.
Pros: Some vegan options , Pretty space
Cons: Ignorant about their own audience , Potential cross contamination

Not vegan friendly - Edit
I had really bad experience with UMU. First of all it's not a vegetarian place, they use eggs and dairy. There were couple of vegan salads that I have chosen alongside tofu Thai patty on the side that I asked to be warmed. While I was waiting for my food I saw that they put Thai patty directly in the same sandwich press that they warm all the other food with ! I pointed this out to staff that served me to hear rude comment back and no apologies. I wasn't rude, I just said I can't eat that and I would like to cancel that Thai patty just to hear mumbling about them separating gluten free.. which I replied to saying that it has nothing to do with vegan. Unfortunately staff doesn't understand what is vegan and how to handle it. This staff left me waiting and feeling awkward until another one came to handle my refund. Also turned out that this guy charged me more for something else, which he apologized for. The lady who handled my refund didn't apologize either, she offered to give me told Thai patty or warm another one wrapped in paper. I didn't feel like I can trust this place to handle food for vegans and I won't recommend to fellow vegans either. There was few nice yummy looking cakes and I have read people reviews, so maybe stay away from real food is my recommendation.

Earth food cafe - Edit
We came here for fresh juice, on offer were two vegetable juices and an orange juice. Not freshly made to order but pre-juice and served in small bottles. I opted for a berry smoothie with almond milk ($1) extra, coconut yoghurt and berries. The whole smoothie was over blended and bubbly and tasted yoghurty.
Read moreWe shared a date and dessicated coconut cake, had an overtaste of cinnamon. I gave the cake and smoothie back to the shop telling them to taste them. Will not return.
Cons: Not 100% vegan, Disappointed in vegan options

Busy - Edit
Busy place, not many vegan options on the breakfast menu but they were willing to change things. Staff are courteous, prices are reasonable.

healthy fare - Edit
A small little cafe more focussed on healthy eating than vegan ethics but still with a good range of organic products in the store and on the menu. Vegan options limited but delicious.

Great place - Edit
Love this place, selling really good fresh produce, not always all organic though. Friendly, helpful staff. Good juices, Great fresh made snacks and a decent grocery section. Place is always packed in the morning and i like that they are open early to late. Not a bad word to say about this shop :)
