Fully vegan since 2019, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and cakes. For breakfast offers toasts or sandwiches like the edamame hummus or the cashew cheese with spinach. Also has fruit smoothies, tea and coffee. For lunch you can choose from a variety of salads, Buddha bowls or the menu (Mon-Fri). Desserts available. Open Mon-Fri 12:30-16:30, Wed-Fri 19:30-22:30.

I don't understand why it took me so long to come to Umami. The very good fleas (with vegan cheese that they prepare there), the excellent barraquito, the super friendly staff ... I didn't have time to try more, but I will return for sure.

Amazing place and food - Edit
The place is amazing and the food even better. They’ve a weekly menu with a first and a second. Amazing cakes and smoothies. The portions are not so big as mentioned by others but they’re fare!

Do bare in mind that the menu is fixed every day ( changing from day to day ), so you cannot choose freely from an open menu. Understanding that, the quality, quantity and the flavours you will find in Umami are more than great. You can also have a variety of SUPER GOOD cookies and cakes. And! Go and try the vegan version of Tenerife's famous Barraquito.

Beautiful food, kind staff - Edit
Food here was absolutely outstanding. We had a tomato, rice and white bean soup to start, then a spaghetti with broccoli pomegranate. SO tasty, I think I inhaled the food rather than ate it, it was so beautifully presented as well. After this we both had a chocolate orange cake and it was so dreamy. The serving staff was a very sweet young woman, who luckily for us spoke English and we had a lovely conversation with her about the food and Santa Cruz.

We visited here in holiday after finding it on Happy Cow. It is a lovely small cafe which is vegetarian with mostly vegan food. We had the 2 course menu of the day. It was Thai soup to start then veggie balls made from aubergines and soya served with rice and sauce. It was delicious and a perfect portion size. The waiter was very nice and even offered us extra sauce for our meal. We would definitely recommend visiting here.

Great restaurant with amazing and friendly staff, great service and lovely ambience. We tried the delicious vegan croissant and Bounty cake was out of this world! Highly recommend the lemon and ginger tea.
