Yummy! - Edit
It was pouring with rain but I really wanted to try this place.
Read moreI had a few samples and it was very nice of them to do this. Ended up with coffee and drunken cherry. I can’t put into words how nice these were. It was a generous serving too.
Pros: delicious

Delicious and a Bang for you Buck - Edit
This ice cream was a dream. I’d recommend going there when you have room for quite a bit of sweets. The pistachio was my favorite (tasted like true pistachio and had no plastic-y aftertaste you can sometimes have with nut flavored ice creams), and the lavender was incredible.

Great but pricy icecream - Edit
We tried different flavors and decided quickly. Chocolate, raspberry, pistachio.
Read moreIt’s quite expensive ($20 for two people, each ordering two flavors) but a good treat once a year.
Also note that if you order two scoops get the big waffle, even if it’s $2 extra (we didn’t) and you’re not going to have to deal with dropping icecream or breaking the waffle.
Pros: Tons of great flavors, Big scoops, Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive, Plastic cups and spoons, Watch for the honeysymbol

This is by far my favorite vegan ice cream spot, better than any other in the city. Staff are friendly and the ice cream is delicious.

Paradise found!!! - Edit
The best vegan ice-cream I have found in Canada so far. I just want to spend the rest of my life at this place. Many flavours (and they are rotating them!), only one of them was not vegan during my visit because it contained honey. They give up to 3 samples, and all I tasted was great. The portions are also huge. The only negative thing is the price.

Could stop by everyday! - Edit
Ever since I first went to Umaluma back in 2017, I fell in love with it! The quality is the best for vegan gelato and the cones are insane! My top favourites: pistachio, Umaluma love, fancy cardamom and lemon poppy seed ♥️

A hidden gem! - Edit
Tucked away in Chinatown is one of the best vegan ice creams stores I've ever visited. I tried three flavours which were all incredible but ended up settling for a scoop of the black sesame and vanilla waffle in a cone. The scoops were enormous and staff were extremely friendly. Prices are not cheap but for the portions you get, it is a fair deal!

Amazing plant-based ice cream - Edit
Before going vegan I used to love going to rain or shine for ice cream, and this place is as good if not better! 😍 All the flavors I tried are so creamy and tasty without an overwhelming coconut taste, which is often the problem with vegan flavors offered by non-vegan ice cream places (looking at you, rain or shine and earnest ice cream 😡).
Read morePrice is definitely on the higher end. And some flavors contain honey so just be careful about that.
Pros: creamy and tasty, free (non-waffle) cones, artsy shop
Cons: pricy

So creamy and delicious 😍 - Edit
Stopped here with my mom after visiting chomp eatery and got two scoops of a waffle caramel flavour and the lavender dreams flavour on a gluten free waffle cone! It was one of the creamiest vegan ice creams I have had! The staff was also super friendly😄

Great ice cream - Edit
I love their ice cream and their charcoal cones. They have many ice cream flavours all dairy free but some contain honey. The ones containing honey are clearly labeled and can be easily avoided.

Very Flavourful - Edit
+ a nice variety of flavour options
Read more+ clearly, they use quality ingredients
- I wish that they eliminated their honeyed flavours to go ethically full-vegan and to make menu selection even easier

Bang for your buck - Edit
I was excited to try this place for a while and was not disappointed! At first when I saw the size of the scoop I thought I could finish it in 2 bites, but no! It was so rich and creamy and delicious and took me forever to finish! I got mint chip and my friend ordered the chocolate! I definitely need to come back and try more.

Excellent ice cream! - Edit
This ice cream is delicious - I can't fault it. It's rich, creamy and the flavours are imaginative. Beautiful!
Read moreIt loses a star because it is definitely expensive - I've only been twice in the last year because the price is kind of off-putting.
Pros: Everything is gluten-free, cones included., Delicious flavours., Large scoops.
Cons: It's pricy!, They use honey in some flavours (clearly marked).

Expensive but tasty ice cream! - Edit
This place is pricy, but the ice cream is really good. I tried pistachio and it was delicious! I wanted to try lavender seafoam, but it had honey in it :( Be sure to look for the bee logo next to certain flavours, those are the flavours that contain honey (most of the flavours I wanted to try contained honey when I went, but pistachio was really tasty.) It's expensive so I probably won't be back anytime soon, but it is great for a treat!

Amazing Plant-Based Ice Cream - Edit
Came here and had a cone with a scoop of the macadamia chocolate and the shiso sake strawberry, both of which were totally delicious; totally creamy, flavourful, sweet but not to sweet, and with amazing texture. The cones are good too. Highly recommend! Honey is used in a few flavours but is clearly marked with a bee sign.

I cone-not tell you how good this place is. - Edit
This was the experience I was most sad about losing once I became vegan... Strolling along with a creamy, creamy ice cream stacked high on a big old waffle cone. But this place gave me that again in the most delicious way! The flavours were creative and well executed, with lots of classic favourites too. No one would ever know this wasn't "real" ice cream, except you know, you don't feel gross afterward.
