Amazing gem - Edit

Stumbled across this gem of a restaurant while traveling across Cambodia. They only had one dish left but the owner agreed to make us another surprise dish as there was two of us. Note that the menu is limited and they only serve one dish each day. It’s first come, first serve. But don’t be scared away. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you are in for a special treat. Both dishes he made for us were amazing and would sell for 4x the price in Los Angeles. Please go and support this lovely family!

Pros: Very delicious vegan food, Beautiful atmosphere

Cons: Limited options

vegan restaurant with delicious food - Edit

Uguisu Sabou restaurant is one of the two vegan restaurants in Kampot ... it’s a little hard to find as it’s down a small unsealed road off highway 33 just after the turn off to CHHUK (about 1.5 kilometres outside of Kampot from the corner of Street 736 & highway 33) .... Uguisu Sabou’s is open from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm Thursdays to Mondays (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays) ... the restaurant is located in a beautiful garden setting with lots of seating options inclining a first floor dining area ... I had the daily special (US$5.00) that was really tasty and rated as one of the best meals that I have had in Cambodia ... the staff are English speaking and are very friendly ... not just a restaurant but a dining experience with delicious vegan food ... please make the effort to visit and support this vegan restaurant and you will be rewarded with a great dining experience

Pros: located in a beautiful setting

Delicious Sushi - Edit

I haven't yet had the chance to go Uguisu Sabou, as we are the only other vegan restaurant in Kampot, and we are always working when they are open. We had the blessing once of the owners bringing us several veg sushi rolls to our restaurant, and I shared it with my Khmer partner and her kids. It was their first time trying sushi, and they loved it. It was all delicious and fresh, and nice touch to have brown sticky rice instead of white rice. Their food is all natural and healthy, and I'm sure Uguisu Sabou will become a very succesful establishment.

Pros: Delicious, Friendly owners, Healthy

Cons: I am always too busy to go

The couple owning it are so so nice and we really felt welcome. Super homely and cozy. The scenery around it is beautiful too!

Pros: Beautiful and quiet setting, Tasty and filling food, Friendly owners
