Not safe for vegans

Little to no care is taken in clearly identifying vegan options. I ordered a dish that was vegan given the description however it clearly had mayo on it. Falafel seem to be fried in a fryer that also is used for chicken.

Amazingly cheap and very good

Oberhausen does not offer particularly many vegan options and this seems to be one of the very few places where vegans can get some food at pretty much any time of the day. This would be reason enough to go to Ugarit, but luckily the food they offer is also pretty decent.

I recommend to get one of their falafel sandwiches (which merely costs 1.50 EUR, which is by far the cheapest I had in Germany) which is freshly prepared and tastes really nice. Order without yoghurt sauce! It is not huge, so if you are really hungry, you might want to order something in addition. The other option which is awesome is their Manakish with Zatar, something like a small pizza with olive oil and Zatar spice mix from Thyme, Sumak and Sesame.

Pros: Great vegan option in not-so-vegan Oberhausen, Open all day until late, Very cheap, great value
