The restaurant is very small and simple but it’s part of the charm! Definitely worth booking ahead on weekends.
Have never had a bad meal here. Everything is so fresh and flavourful. I dream about their PFC vegan drumsticks 🤤 My fave mains are the “duck” and lychee curry, som tum with konjac “calamari”, basil & chilli stir fry, pineapple fried rice… too many! It’s all so good.
Excellent value - portions are generous so I often get to take home leftovers and have it for lunch the next day.
U-Tong deserves all of the support, go here if you ever get a chance ❤️

Amazing food. It was very delicious. Also the stuff is super friendly. It is not a "real" restaurant more a takeaway spot with some tables, but speaking of food taste no limitations.

Fried rice with veggies and plant protein was delicious! Fresh veggies cooked perfectly. Honey soy was alright, we have had much better though so wouldn’t get it again.
Read moreOnly off thing was pricing- honey soy came with a little salad, which was a nice surprise, but wasn’t worth the $29. We thought at that price it would be a bigger portion and feed both of us. If it was $19, I’d say that’s fair for what it is. Glad we got the rice to be safe- but we also didn’t realise it would be so huge in contrast and couldn’t eat it all😂
Overall, worth trying for sure. Just double check portion sizes before ordering to ensure it’ll suit. We ordered ours to a hotel, so didn’t have that opportunity.

No need to say what a pleasure it is to order anything off the menu because it's all vegan. But it is necessary to comment on the quality and authentic taste of the dishes. This is by far the best Thai I have had from anywhere. Vegies fresh and succulent, good tofu, and excellent flavour. This is a must try venue for any vegans visiting Brisbane, and must be a well loved local for those who live here.

Such amazing flavours. The food is excellent and the owners are fantastic such lovely people. Even my Omni husband enjoys takeaway from U-Tong. I am fussy when it comes to vegan food. A lot of places offer vegan dishes but don't deliver on the flavour (or texture)and I just put up with it because I'm so happy to have a vegan meal. U-Tong's food is genuinely good.

We’ve tried U-Tong via delivery and dine in. Dishes were quite tasty! For takeaway we had the roti with peanut sauce, pad see ew (on the saltier side but still nice), massaman curry (quite decent) and tofu skewers with peanut sauce. For dine in, we had the satay mock chicken skewers, PFC Vegan Drumsticks (batter was crispy), rad-na (you may want to request the gravy to be less salty), pad thai (good if you like something on the sour side) and banana fritter with ice cream (delicious dessert). I had the Thai soy milk tea on both occasions and it was refreshing.
