So-So - Edit
Salt + pepper tofu isn’t a dish I order often bc the name is giving boring, but this place jazzes it up. Delicious. I also rec the carrot + cabbage dumplings. I decided to go back + try the dan dan even tho I’m kinda skeeved out by Beyond Meat + it was alright. The blistered green beans were disappointing tho, skimpy for the $16 price tag + neither my partner nor I enjoyed the flavor.

Amazing vegan options with flavors unlikely to find elsewhere - Edit
Stopped by Tyger Tyger on our way to the Seattle Storm game earlier this week! They offer lots of vegan options on their menu!
Read moreAll of the dishes we ordered embodied bold, original flavors. The Mushroom Tempura Bun was interesting, aesthetically gorgeous and mouth watering combination of flavors. One truly unique aspect to this dish was the tongue numbing sensation brought on by the peppercorns lol, leaving me feeling as if I'd just left the dentist lol. It wasn't bad, just weird, something I was unaccustomed to. The numbing sensation isn't something that would prevent me from ordering this dish in the future but nor is it an aspect that I would intentionally seek out.
The Carrot & Cabbage dumplings were to die for. You get one or two bites from each dumpling as the sauce coats the dumplings, providing the perfect accompaniment.
Last, the Silken Tofu with Mushroom Garlic. Yet another dish with impeccably deep rich flavor. I would strongly recommend you ask for a fork when eating this dish. The dish is very difficult to eat with the chopsticks, this due to the smoothness of the silken tofu and the rice being fluffy (and delicious) but had the rice perhaps been more sticky, it might have been easier to pair with the tofu for each bite (and that's not meant as a critique, but rather just an observation). We were stubborn and didn't want to let the tofu win haha, but honestly, we struggled so much with the chopsticks for this dish that it served as a serious detriment to enjoying it fully. Go with a fork, there's no shame :)
With the amazing depth of flavors these dishes provided, I can't wait to visit Tyger Tyger and experience what their other vegan options have to offer!
Pros: lots of vegan options, original flavors, aesthetically beautiful dishes

Could be spicier - Edit
Came here to try their vegan dumplings, but they were out. I was really disappointed. We got the salt & pepper tofu and blistered green beans. The green beans were super tasty, came in sweet and tangy sauce that had a little spice and a little crunch. I would definitely get these again. The salt & pepper tofu was a bit heavier on salt and lighter on pepper than at Lionhead, their sister restaurant in Capitol Hill. The pieces are cut in cubes rather than triangles, which changes the ratio of crispy outside to soft inside—my partner said he prefers the triangle shaped tofu at Lionhead than at TygerTyger but I find the smaller cubes easier to fit in my mouth. 😅 Try both restaurants and see which you prefer! They came topped with some crispy onions and fresh chopped peppers and onions that were pretty tasty with the leftover sauce from the green beans. We’ll have to come back another time to try their dumplings.

Vegan Dan Dan Noodles - Edit
I was crushed that none of their dumplings were due to the wrapper but there was fortunately enough vegan friendly items for us to enjoy for the meal.
Read moreWe started with the Vegan Dan Dan ($15) which was our favorite dish of the night. I really enjoyed the spicy and tangy noodles with seasoned impossible beef in chili oil, and overall it was the most satisfying of our dishes. We also ordered their Salt & Sichuan Pepper Tofu ($17) and the Cauliflower Dry Pot ($17).
Both entrees were okay but I felt the tofu was way overpriced for fairly average tofu. It wasn't as crispy to my liking and could have used a bit more seasoning to really flavor the dish. Given it was all veggies, it really did feel too pricy for the dishes.
Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance of Tyger Tyger and the Dan Dan Noodles, but could've gone without the other dishes. If it was just a bit cheaper for those, I think it would have made me feel a bit better about the experience.
Pros: Upscale ambiance, Friendly service
Cons: Expensive dishes
