Solid

The place is a good option, but not a go to. I find the food a bit bland but there’s a range to choose from. I know others who love it and others who aren’t keen. Worth a go to see if it hits the spot for you.

reasonable and tasty

vegan/vegetarian and very reasonable. the burgers have a good taste, the hot pot sweet potato "stew" was a bit ordinary, This place is not for those in a hurry as it is all freshly cooked and it is a cafe with a small staff not a five star restaurant ,the servings are a good size, we had desert also which really stuffed us . The apple/ rhubarb pie is delicious and the vegan ice cream is amazing. The service is friendly and helpful. .

Pros: the burgers, apple pie, service

Cons: dont be in a hurry, needs better signage downstairs at night.

Great food, good prices

I went to two bit villains on a short trip to Adelaide because I wanted to try out this Adelaide institution. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a vegan cheeseburger and a choc mint vegan milkshake. Both of these were absolutely delicious, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable.

I definitely recommend two bit villains for anyone visiting Adelaide.

Pros: great food, good prices, central location

junk food heaven

Great place for American style food, great as a treat with a good variety of options for meals, drinks and desserts. The only downside is more often than not the menu isn’t all available due to high demand which is testament to their popularity

Too real for me!

Only place I've managed to find gluten free AND vegan fake meat burgers and omg, they are so good.
I haven't eaten meat in a long time so I can't remember exactly how it tastes but the texture of these freaked me out so much I had a hard time eating it! But my vegan bf says it's nothing like meat so I don't know 😂
Just go! It's yum!

It was alright

I went here on a date with my boyfriend. We got a snickers milkshake which is a little bit too salty. I got a 'beef' burger and chips and he got a 'chicken' burger and onion rings. The burgers were pretty good but the onion rings had too much batter and they were a little bit cold. I don't know about price because I didn't pay. I enjoyed the meal but I'm not rushing to go back.

Pros: Everything on menu can be made vegan, Big portions

Cons: A lot of salt!!

An American styled diner but vegan

I've been going here for years for their delicious sodas and burgers but today I found out they did vegan milkshakes and I'm so happy!

Totally worth it

A lot to choose between different burgers and sides and other stuff. Great range of hot drinks and sweets as eg. thickies, hot peanut butter coffee. Great taste and value. Staff is also very friendly. Atmosphere is lovely.
At midday quiet busy.

Calorie Central

While many vegans are stereotyped as being healthy eaters, Two-Bit Villains has done quite a solid job in attempting to squash the myth that salads, kale and sandwiches made of 9 grains are the only things we can eat.

The menu consists of burgers, fries, differently shaped fries, a fries burger, sloppy Joes, nachos and more - nothing on the menu would receive more than a 1 star health rating you see plastered over cereal boxes in Coles.

I've eaten here quite a bit and enjoy it, it's a guilty pleasure. That said, the onion rings are incredibly greasy - I once got them as a takeaway and managed to wring my napkin out with all of the excess oil it contained. Tater tots are good and my recommendation. They're like little hash brown barrels, cute!

Pros: No nonsense American food, Decent tater tot portion size

Cons: Can be hard to get served, Burgers aren't worth the price tag

Amazing American Vego Food

I never knew vegan food could taste this good. Situated upstairs in the Adelaide Arcade, the restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. Unlike other vegetarian restaurants, the food here is actually packed with flavour and spice rather than being bland and soft.

Staff are lovely and the restaurant is well decorated with interesting hipster decore. They do a range of sodas however I have never tried them as I am not a fan of soft drinks. What I do like however is there El Bandido burger.

The El Bandido contains a crunchy falafel-like patty made from soy. It is served with a spicy sauce that packs a small chilli hit. The patty is garnished with fresh shredded lettuce and tomato. I had the vegan variant of the burger with vegan cheese and it tasted quite spectacular.

The Chilli Con Carne fries tastes just like a chilli con carne. The surprising part is that it contains no meat and also the cheese can be substituted for vegan cheese. The french fries are not too salty and are nice and crispy.

I have also tried their Mac and Cheese which is just as good as non-vegan Mac and Cheese. The spicy lentil soup they have as a $10 special sometimes really packs a punch. The only downside of the soup is that you only get a really tiny bit of crunchy bread on the side.

Definitely worth a try. Even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan. You will likely be surprised at how nice it is.

Pros: Fresh food, Spicy options are actually spicy, Good menu variety

Cons: Slightly on the pricier side

Not my favourite food, but a beautiful venue

This is a really popular place and it came recommended to me, but I wasn't all that impressed. I had a vegan cheeseburger with onion rings as well as a vegan milkshake and I wasn't a huge fan. I found the onion rings too oily. The burger was alright, but not my favourite and the milkshake wasn't cold enough for my lovely king and the flavour wasn't quite what I like either.
Positives include it being a lovely light-filled venue in a beautiful old arcade, friendly staff and lots of vegan options.
Obviously lots of people like the food there, but I prefer my vegan fast food from Lord of the Fries...

Great vego 1950's diner style food!

Visit this place whenever I'm in Adelaide, they do great burgers, loaded fries, sodas, shakes etc. The food is greasy 1950's diner style food but if that's what you're after it's absolutely delicious! Good decor and funky atmosphere, plenty of vegan options.

Pros: Funky place, yummy food!

Cons: Open on Sunday night dammit!

Vegan Fast Food

It's so great a place like this is around in Adelaide. Obviously not the healthiest option out there, but great for a dirty treat every so often. Food is pretty tasty and will satisfy your craving for a greasy burger. The new space is pretty neat too. Unfortunately wait times for both dine and and take-out can be long

Pros: Tasty, Good location

Cons: Food takes a long time

Homemade sodas and soy ice cream!

Best sodas I've ever tasted , and so many options to mix it up! Hot dogs, tater tots, and mac and cheese are my favourites here. Plus vegan options for everything! Food service was friendly and quick.

Pros: Everything has vegan options, no exceptions!

Yes and no

The sodas are great and if you're feeling like junk food, probably one of the better ways to do it. Usually, the people serving seem quite friendly but the waiting times border on ridiculous. I've been here a few times, even when there is one or two (literally) other people in the restaurant, I have waited up to 40 minutes for a burger and fries or onion rings. Oh well. Won't go again purely because of this. Sorry, but just happened one too many times to be a coincidence.

Pros: Sodas, junk food fix

Cons: waiting times

two-bit villains

We had two vegan burgers and chili cheese fries with vegan cheese. The burgers came without cheese, when I asked why, they said I have to request it and it costs extra. I wonder why they did not ask when we ordered. The chili cheese fries had barely any vegan cheese on it. the "normal" chili cheese fries came with lots of cheese. The vegan burger was pretty boing, no interesting sauce and it was pretty bland. it is definitely overrated. we wont come again.

Pros: vegan options, gluten free options

ok food, odd atmosphere

I was looking forward to my visit here having heard good reviews and brought a visitor to Adelaide even though I hadn't trial-runned the place. I got the sense that this was a new location and it feels very unfinished so the space was strange and lacking character. They had run out of buns (odd since they largely only serve burgers!) so everything was on a bed of fries instead. The meals were extremely salty (I had the chilli fries) to the point that I couldn't finish mine. The other two in my group got "salad" with theirs but that was just iceberg lettuce and a couple of tomato slices. The best part were the botanical sodas, very fresh and flavourful. I really wanted to love Two Bit Villians and all the vegan offerings, but it's very much in need of refinements.

Pros: awesome sodas, good potential

Cons: salty, echoey uncozy unfinished space

sooooo good!

I came here with a group of mostly non-vegans and everyone was very impressed with the food. The serving sizes were huge, the food was delicious and there was a lot of options. Everything can be made vegan and the staff are wonderful. I'm only visiting Adelaide for a few days but will definitely be coming back here before I leave.

Pros: delicious , everything can be made vegan, big sizes

Cons: none

Best Junk Food Fix!

Seriously the best chilli cheese fries I have ever had! I actually get sad if i go somewhere else and order veg chilli cheese fries cos i only want the two bit villains ones and nothing will live up to theirs! The creamy soda is amazing, the staff are lovely. I always leave this place a few kilos heavier and extremely happy.

Pros: chilli cheese fries, creamy soda

affordable

The first sign that things were not to be a magical experience was that I had to wait at the counter for several minutes to order and be seated, as the sole server had to take food out to tables and clean. I was placed at a table for three, which thankfully was the only table where the seats had backs. However I was then approached by several people asking if seats were available as there was a line out the door and people were being turned away. By the time my food came out after twenty minutes or so, I felt quite bad for taking up space. It was also quite noisy, between people talking and the music, which was a bit overwhelming. I wasn't able to find serviettes or salt and the floor had some crumbs and the chairs had holes in. My fries were cold when I received them, and the cheese on my hot dog had not melted very well. It was very large and I was only able to eat half. I was allowed to take the rest home in a plastic container. Hopefully when they move into their new location some of these things will be fixed, but I will have second thoughts about trying them again.

Pros: affordable

Cons: noisy

Little Gem in Adelaide

One of my favourite vegan friendly places in Adelaide, I love the style, the atmosphere and the food is very delicious 50's style American but vegetarian with vegan options! I love that they are super accommodating of vegans, they go out of there way to include us and that's why they are one of my favourite places!
I think their prices are really reasonable, the staff are wonderful and knowledgable, I am a huge fan of their turkish delight iced tea, their milkshakes and their fries! Some people don't like really salty chips, and they do come with a bit of salt, so if you don't like that, order less salt. Personally for me, i LOVE the saltyness! the chilli cheesefries (vegan of course) are amazing, they do vegan onion rings and great veggie burgers.
Do yourself a favour and get into Two-bit villians :)

Pros: Reasonable prices, Best fries in Adelaide
