Amazing every time - Edit

I’ve eaten here a few times while in Hamilton and it is hands down the best vegan food I had in New Zealand. Tried their salads, brownie, satay dish (without meat) and their vegan nachos. Couldn’t recommend more highly

Amazing cafe with a diverse range of options - Edit

I think this cafe is awesome! I like how there is a huge range of options from very clean vegan salads and vege bowls to burgers and chocolate cookies.

I don't mind the fact that amongst all of the vegan goodies they have a few bacon and chicken options, this means you can take your meat eating friends here for lunch without feeling like you are dragging them somewhere they won't enjoy. Keep in mind it can be rather pricey.

Highly recommend trying the choc PB smoothie and vegan cookies!

Pros: Diverse options , Friendly staff, Choc PB smoothie and sweet treats

Cons: Expensive

Great service and food - Edit

I have been to the Two Birds Cafe a bunch of times in the last two months. Take away and eat in.
I love the scenery outside, the staff are very friendly and every time I have had food there it’s always good.
I have had the vegan falafel wrap, vegan burger, vegan pancakes, their raw snickers slice is awesome and as well as the bliss balls.
Thank you 😄

Pros: Great Food, Excellent Service, Lovely Outdoor Area

Not so good anymore - Edit

I used to go there often for lunch or brunch. I loved their "nourish bowl", with grains + roasted and fresh veggies, salads and a nice dressing, or african beany dish, falafels (vegan protein bowl), wraps, etc. And some great-looking desserts...

They transformed the place, changed the menu, and now there is really quite few options. No more nourish bowl, but take away salads that can be vegan and cabinet salads that can be too (but often have stupid add-ons like cheese or bacon!).
The space is less nice too, painted in a very fancy dark gray but it makes it really dark...

amazing options! - Edit

I personally love this place. There are DELICIOUS sweet treats available like brownies and slices, most are gluten free and vegan, everything is labeled. There's also yummy vegan options on the menu. They know how to make things really well with rich flavors! Prices are relevant to the quality of the food. Super smoothies are awesome too. Has sunny outdoor seating, good music, friendly staff and magazines to read plus all the different milks available for coffee!

Don't go if hungry - Edit

Very limited selection. Nothing to leave you feeling you satisfied. Just a few smoothies and very light options otherwise.
Fairly expensive.

Cons: Limited options, Not great value

Vegan and raw offerings at pub eatery - Edit

This is an unusual eatery in meat crazy New Zealand, as it is attached to a pub, and has developed from a previous incarnation as a pub cafe and bar. Like its predecessor, Two Birds is very health conscious in its menus. It's is a great place for vegans and vegetarians to rendezvous with their more omnivorous friends. The lunch and evening menu, for example, offers a 'nourish plate' option - a vegan base is raw and cooked vegetables, but meat eaters can add chicken or fish if they wish. A delicious range of raw and/ or gluten free cakes and desserts is on offer. Coconut yoghurt granola is a delicious breakfast item. When ordering vegan, make sure of ingredients (tempura for example includes eggwhites).

Pros: Pleasant sociable environment, Vegan and vegetarian choices, Flexible menu

Cons: Clarify ingredients when ordering vegan
