Fantastic spot - Edit
Great spot to grab a coffee and a pastry.
Read moreAll the food is vegan, they only offer dairy as an alternative for coffees.
Not advertised as vegan pastry which makes sense as it can encourage more people to try it without attaching the “vegan stigma.”

Pros: Great food, Good pick for everyone

Hi, just to say that some of their pastries have dairy cheese as well, it's not just the dairy milk for coffee

Incredible flavours! - Edit
Beautiful little artisan bakery that is totally worth the hype!
Read moreGreat vibes and even better food and drink!
Carrot cake was deliciously soft with a few nuts and raisins - very juicy.
Filled pistacchio croissant was soft on the inside while being flaky on the outside.
Savioury mushroom "croissant"-like pastry was amazing! The combination of vegan ricotta-like cream, spinach and spices was on point.
Happy to come again!
Pros: Only vegan pastry when we were here, Vibes and decoration, Great drinks
Cons: Also serve cowmilk - not fully vegan

So so lovely, I just don't understand why they serve cow milk?!
The food reminds me a lot of vegan bakeries in Amsterdam! Super friendly staff as well.
The coffee is an iced vanilla latte with pistachio foam. Lovely.
The focaccia is a flavourful cloud. The asparagus and pesto pair so well together!!
The danish was good. Their flaky pastry is a little dry but with the cream and fruit it's delish.
The mushroom croissant was a savoury treat. The seeds paired with the creamy filling is amazing!
The tiramisu was soooo delicious. Soft pastry, sweet cream and some cinnamon coffee sugar situation going on in the centre. Perfect.

So good we went back again! - Edit
Great little bakery with a fully Vegan range of pastries. The croissants were delicious as were the savoury turnovers with creamy mushrooms. We loved it so much we went back the next day and had the Pistachio Croissants too. The coffee was also excellent 👍 Highly recommend for anyone in Dublin looking for a plant-bases treat.

Incredible - Edit
Absolutely zero notes about this place.
Read more1. I got the strawberry matcha. I know strawberries are better in Ireland but holy cow I’ve never had a better matcha. The syrups are all made in house too! So fire
2. The focaccia was incredible as well. Little oily but the flavors were so good.
3. Never had better carrot cake in my life. Seriously
4. The pistachio croissant was good but didn’t compare to the others.
Overall this place was so good. All the bakery items were vegan which was such a treat. I hope I get to come back one day

I went into this place thinking it had some vegan options and quickly learned the whole place is vegan! The baked goods are perfection and their chai latte is great too! I'm looking forward to my next Dublin vacation just to visit this spot again.

Mostly but not all vegan - Edit
Update May 2026:
Read moreI have received confirmation from the business email that they are not in fact vegan and do serve products with dairy and dairy milk. This is hugely disappointing to learn, as I have been there three times now and only today saw a sign for a vegetarian product. Now I am questioning whether what I have eaten was even vegan. The view out there is that it is a vegan bakery but this is not true. I have reported this to happy cow to change their category here as well.
Original review based on visit in March 2026:
I was dying to come here as soon as I heard of its opening, and I was not disappointed! Even though I could have gone for literally everything, I chose an almond croissant as they are the most rare to find in vegan form. It was delicious and actually so filling (I had not eaten in anticipation!) I got a focaccia to go to eat at home but I didn't enjoy this as much.
I will say that there is very little seating inside. However, if you are willing to wait, the staff were very nice about it and said we could wait to order until a table became free. On a Saturday at 12pm we had to wait 15 minutes which is not the worst at all.
The decor is very cute.
It is Dublin so it is expensive! I've seen photos on happy cow with menu prices but when I was there I only saw a drinks menu on the wall so I was taken aback by the total (€14.70 for almond croissant, savoury focaccia, and a can of soda).
My final point is a musing on the name Twist - is it like fellow vegan place It's a Trap where the Twist is that it's all vegan? Vegan or plant based is actually not mentioned anywhere inside. Though I appreciate businesses want to appeal to all, I do think that not naming it as vegan or plant based could put off vegans who are so used to not being able to get much more than a protein ball in some places, and may not even think to step in the door. Relying on word of mouth alone isn't fair to the community.
Regardless, Twist bumps up fully vegan places in Dublin by 50% (from 2 to 3), joining good company of It's a Trap and the Saucy Cow. Must visit!

So good - Edit
I got the almond croissant and the hazelnut frangipane. The pastry for both was fantastic. The filling for the almond croissant was a bit too heavy and sweet and there was a bit too much for my liking but that's my only criticism. The filling for the hazelnut frangipane was amazing and the cream on top was so light and fluffy. Good coffee too. So amazing to have a vegan bakery in Dublin city.

Delicious and so much choice! - Edit
It can be hard to find something truly nice to go with your coffee when your vegan. Often, there are little options, if at all, and can taste just very 'healthy'. This bakery has a wide variety of amazing indulgent pastries. All the sweet ones are vegan, the savoury ones a combination of vegetarian and vegan. The coffee (also all vegan) is great. I brought a freshly baked sourdough loaf home, which I highly recommend.

I ordered a couple of single serve pistachio éclairs from Marija, and they were so delicious. She was so lovely to deal with, really accommodating, and it was really simple to place an order. The price is great for the quality and taste, would definitely order again.
