Vielfältiger Veganladen - Edit
Toller Laden mit viel Auswahl an spannenden und ausgefallenen veganen Produkten. Viele unverpackte Lebensmittel, die etwas teuer ausfallen. Da kenne ich andere Unverpacktläden, die günstigere Preise anbieten. Hier und da auch noch in Plastik verpackte Produkte, die aber aber not täten, wenn man sich anderes beispielsweise in Pfandgläser oder Papiertüten abfüllen könnte, falls man nicht seine eigenen Verpackungen dabei hat. Auch ein wenig ordentlicher hätte es sein können, zum Beispiel Schilder am rechten Platz. Verkäuferin telefonierte leider während meines gesamten Einkaufs, sonst hätte ich sie gern nach Empfehlungen gefragt, wollte sie als recht introvertierte Person aber auch nicht unterbrechen, somit eventuell meine Schuld. Dennoch 4/5 Sternen für diese tolle Einkaufsmöglichkeit.

netter Mini-Supermarkt, der trotzdem alles mögliche hat - Edit
Mit Unverpackt-Laden, Bioladen und kleiner Bäckerei, alles vegan. Hier gibt es u.a. auch verschiedenste Sachen, die man sonst nur im Internet bekommt, wie z.B. Supplemente, aber auch Sticker, Plakate, etc. Wenn ich in Hamburg wohnen würde, würde ich hier bestimmt öfter einkaufen.

If your interest in veganism is wider than just a diet and you are in Hamburg this wee shop is well worth searching out. As well as a great variety of foods and other products (includng many with a fill your own container option) they have badges, card, stickers etc with animal rights and other progressive messages. Most german supermarkets stock a wide vegan range but I'd far rather give my money to an ethical business.

Fully vegan store - Edit
The problem with shopping at organic stores is that you always have to check labels in order to know if they are vegan or not. That's why I love fully vegan stores like this one: as a vegan, I know that I can buy absolutely everything here without having to worry. They also offer some zero-waste purchases which I really believe we should focus on more as vegans.

I wouldn't call this a "super" market, it's pretty small. But if there's a vegan product that your local drugstore or traditional supermarket doesn't carry, this store probably does. There's only a small selection of usual groceries but the selection of speciality vegan stuff (meats, cheeses, sweets) is great. I definitely recommend the chocolate bars (especially the white peanut butter cups!) from Go Max Go.

Read moreder Laden ist zentral gelegen und gut erreichbar. Leider wenige kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, aber es gäbe ein Parkhaus.
Das Sortiment ist umfangreich und man bekommt hier vieles, was man in den inzwischen teils schon gut ausgestatteten Supermärkten nicht bekommt.
Zudem frisches Obst und Gemüse, Backwaren, Reinigungsmittel und Kosmetik, eine "glutenfreie Ecke". Wirklich alles, was man braucht findet man dort.
Zudem ist das Personal dort herzallerliebst

12 Monkeys is the place to go for every vegan or vegetarian living in or visiting Hamburg - they have everything, from a variety of non-dairy cheeses to dog food and shampoo, as well as a collection of stickers, T-shirts and pamphlets to help you become a even more woke than you already are ; ) Most things are organic and can be bought without packaging (low or zero waste - yeah!).

Apart from such obvious products like non-dairy milks, tofu products and vegan cheese Twelve Monkeys provides lots of stuff you can't easily somewhere else, things like vegan condoms, vegan D3, vegan pet food, toothpaste with B12 and so on. They have a small range of fruits and vegetables, stuff in the refrigerator, even few books about veganism and activism, also stickers, pins, t-shirts and whatnot. Moreover, they encourage people to bring containers as certain products are sold loose. There even fresh pastries available (subject to availability).
Read moreThere is a corner with leaflets, all different kind of informations of what is going on, dates of concerts, demonstrations, classes and whatnot, what is really great, I love these kinds of notice-board-thing.
Staff doesn't seem very enthusiastic, but that's OK, they are nice people anyway.
The most disappointing circumstance is that some products are out of stock for weeks, every now and then for plenty of weeks. Obviously that's due to collective order downsides, but that explanation is just a crumb of comfort. You have to have understanding.
As it is often the case many of these special vegan products are quite expensive. It is like it is. As far as their overall range goes - that's pretty good, just not always available, and that's, on the other hand, pretty sad. Nonetheless, I hope Twelve Monkeys can sustain, because it adds value to the local vegan community.
Due to close U-Bahn and S-Bahn it's much connected to the local public transportations system than the other vegan supermarket in Ottensen/Altona, but on the other hand it's smaller. I genuinely hope more people will buy here and support them in order to give them the chance to offer better service.
Finally, opening hours are great, nothing to complain here.
I am looking forward to the day I can give five cows.
