A bit overpriced

I’d say a bit over priced and the service isn’t great but always a safe bet for vegan options

Greasey muck

There is proper African and Caribbean food in Plymouth, with healthy vegan choices, but it is not here.

Cons: Poor vegan choice, with few essential nutrients , Afro-Carb food, is not burgers & chips, Bouncers on the door

Amazing fritters

The sweetcorn fritters here are so good! Lots of vegan options clearly marked. The plantain is also a favourite - recommend!

Really tasty surprise for a chain restaurant

I love Turtle Bay; I can go in and as long as all the options are available I can sit and actually ponder what to have instead of one sad option staring back at me!

My fave is the organic jerk tofu with dumplings, soooo tasty!
The vegan motherclucker is also good but the batter is a bit sweet like the dumplings, so keep in mind, it is very rich!

Me and my wife love the hot sauce they have on the table so much we went and ordered some online. Great decision!

Only thing is that being in the town centre and with their cocktail offers it can get pretty noisy at peak times and they staff aren't keen on letting you pick where to sit. Fine if you aren't bothered but if a bit more chill is your thing go just before dinner rush about 5 😊

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Can be noisy

Not great

I had been here a previous time and had sharing platter which was great. There is definitely plenty of vegan options. But I don’t know if it was the chef there on this occasion but everything was completely doused in hot sauce! The Sweetcorn fritters were ruined because of this (had previously on platter and were great). The vegan motherclucker burger was ok I have had better vegan chicken, spiced fried were great, also ordered extra side of coleslaw which was hot think it had chopped chillies in it 🥵.
I’d only recommend to people who like all there food ridiculously spicy

Light, bright & cheerful

Plenty to chose from for vegans, with even the cocktails marked up when vg. Atmosphere was friendly and I felt relaxed being there on my own. Only one word of warning, ask to be seated away from the open kitchen if you’re uncomfortable with the smell of cooking meat and fish.

Pros: Good range of vegan options, Friendly & efficient service, Cocktail happy hour
