Excellent independent and well stocked store, with a vast selection of vegan items.
Read moreYou'll pretty much find all you need to cater to your needs, be it vitamins, supplements, wholefoods, gourmet chocolate, eco products etc. They also have a very good freezer and chilled section.
I purchased some Monty Bojangles caramel haze vegan truffles that were delightful.
I can't believe this store has been around since the 1980s, but long may it continue. #Veganuary

A very nice health food shop to browse in. They have a great selection of vegan products, a lot of items that you can't get in the chain health food stores. Good selection of gourmet vegan Chocs. Some items seem quite expensive whilst others reasonable and you might find a special item that's not easy to find elsewhere.

Can't believe it took so long - Edit
I've been to York so many many times and seen vegetarian restaurants and shops come and go yet this amazing place has slipped the radar. It's been here since the 80s. Anyway, this is a right proper homely vegi healthfood store with a great range of food products and other things nice. Check out their website for full details (too many to mention). We're going back to York in Feb 2012 and will certainly be visiting again.
