Nice little vegan cafe - Edit
We ordered the Bandari sandwich (vegan sausage toasted wrap), Kado sandwich (vegetable toasted wrap), and lentil soup. The food was delicious and just what we were looking for. The sauce they used tasted so cheesy.

Delicious food with simple ingredients while not sacrificing flavor! - Edit
Our recent visit to Whistler BC, first time for me, saw us first stopping at Squamish for lunch. The drive up the Sky to Sky Highway (Highway 99) is phenomenal .. as is the entire Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, too beautiful for words!
Read moreWe ate at a cute 100% vegan cafe called @tuba_cafe_ right in the heart of downtown Squamish, offering lots of smoothie flavors, coffees, a few sandwiches and four different kinds of vegan desserts! When entering the restaurant, you can actually enter from their front or back doors.
We decided to split a "Kado Sandwich" (panini) - consisting of zucchini, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, spice, parsley, tomato paste, and cheese. If you're wondering if the panini tastes as good as it looks, it absolutely does .. and, even better when paired with their provided dipping sauce!
I decided to grab a smoothie, simply and aptly named "Brown" .. espresso, mango, banana, walnut, protein powder, and almond butter ... a lot of varied ingredients that really complemented one another in the final product.
Last but certainly not least, we both ordered a different dessert. My wife ordered the "Tiramisu", consisting of cream cheese, almond butter, biscuit, and maple syrup and I ordered the "Cheesecake", consisting of date, walnut, cream cheese, maple syrup, and almond butter. While both desserts shared some similar ingredients, each had their own distinct flavor and was a perfect touch to our shared sandwich and smoothie.
Whether you're driving through Squamish or staying for a bit, if you're looking for fast service, delicious food with simple ingredients, right in the heart of downtown, you should definitely check them out!
Pros: In the heart of downtown Squamish, fast service, simple but flavorful ingredients

Very Disappointing Experience - Edit
- First of all, it was hard to find the place. The main entrance is in an alley, so navigating was difficult.
Read more- It is advertised as a vegan cafe, though there are three non-vegan sandwich options.
- I waited far too long for my chocolate cake to go. Plus, it was mediocre at best. The icing gave it an odd floral flavour, which was unexpected and disappointing.
- Staff were difficult to speak to as they were mainly Farsi speaking and lacked communication and customer service skills. The atmosphere didn't feel welcoming, as many customers were also speaking Farsi.
- I saw a staff member who did not perform hand-hygiene and reused single-use gloves, re-placing them in the middle of the counter when finished with them. Infection control needs to be improved.
- I saw a customer order a coffee, half-sweet. She was expected to sweeten her drink with the syrups available. How is she supposed to know how much syrup to put in? A paying customer should not need to do a barista's job.
- And finally, customers were asked to place dirty dishes on the same counter as the cash register. This reflects badly on business practices and worsens the overall customer experience. We do not want dirty dishes to be right where we're ordering.

Lovely cafe and owners! - Edit
What a lovely cafe! And the owners are so nice. I had a tea and a tiramisu and they were both delicious! The tiramisu was amazing! I'm definitely going back for more. And to try their other cakes. Yum!

Wow, surprisingly good! - Edit
Squamish is not the MOST vegan-friendly place, but Tuba was a surprise delight. We had the purple smoothie, lentil soup, bandari sandwich, and tiramisu and 4 out of 4 were great. Just clean, healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced food. We had modest expectations going in but were actually really impressed. I like mom & pop little places like this one and would definitely go back.

Alright for what it is - Edit
Between the two of us we had the turkey sandwich, two smoothies, and the lentil soup. Soup and smoothies were good enough, but the sandwich was not - tasted like Yves sandwich meat (and there are so many better options now!). We didn’t try any dessert.

Fantastic and Lovely - Edit
Such a special place! The atmosphere is very peaceful, the staff so kind and the food heavenly fresh and delightfully yummy. The turkey sandwich came with a side salad and was flavorful with all good ingredients. The bandara sandwich had the right amount of spiciness and cheesiness. Lovely refreshing mountain mint tea and the tiramisu was to die for. Seriously. Probably the best vegan food I had in some time. Made my heart and belly so happy.

A special spot! - Edit
The two pressed bandari sandwiches had great flavor. Reasonably priced organic food in a central location. My partner and I greatly enjoyed the sofa with a beautiful view!

Sophisticated Persian cooking - Edit
This vegan cafe has very relaxing quiet music. A Persian couple run the restaurant. The food is delicately seasoned - even the hot sauce tastes special. The icing for the cakes has rose flavour. The chocolate chip cookie holds its shape and yet is made of mostly oats, and is not too sweet. The roast veggie sandwich is savoury and juicy without dripping, and has a side of greens with balsamic and ground walnut.
Read moreThe latte is served with maple syrup, cinnamon and sugar and has a lot of foam, and is definitely above average in quality.
Pros: Sophisticated food designed with care, Delicate seasoning, Relaxing ambience

3.5-4 stars based on a coffee and cake - Edit
Really cute cafe in the middle of Squamish. Lots of seating inside and lounge area in the back. Very accommodating couple who runs it.
Read moreGrabbed an oat latte and carrot cake. Both really good. 👍🏻 the cake wasn’t too sweet and tasted homemade in the best way.
Good thing about the coffee was that 12oz is the standard size. They won’t jip you with some 8oz cup and make you pay extra for that.
Haven’t tried the sandwhiches but saw them in the case and they looked okay.

Has great potential - Edit
Good location and warm staff. Unfortunately the savoury menu leaves much to be desired and they appear to only have very simple sandwiches (using Yves, Chao products) and a soup.

Ok, sandwiches a little weird - Edit
Service and presentation was great. We got the bandari sandwich and it’s basically a pita filled with weird chopped up vegan hotdog in an otherwise tasty sauce. The fake meat on the turkey sandwich was also a little weird. Coffee is ok. Everything overpriced for what it is. Didn’t try the desserts which seemed to be their strong points based on google reviews.
