Must stop by when in Tokyo

Absolutely delicious vegan ramens and soy dishes. I can't visit Japan without finding some time to call in for lunch or dinner. They also do take away dehydrated noodle soups and sandwiches.

Pros: Inexpensive, delicious and plenty of choices

Cons: Doesn't typically take long but it is popular and

Best vegsn ramen and gyozs ever!

I kept ordering more and more food because it was so delicious! Best ramen I've been had! And the gyozas were out of the world. The panda ice cream was solid, too.

Glad to see vegan Japanese food

It’s hard to avoid fish in Japan, especially when considering most broth for noodles is made with dashi (Bonito) or pork bone. Was so glad to find Ts and great location.

Pros: Multiple ramen and other options

Cons: Slightly more expensive than non vegan ramen, etc, Can only take away the beef” bowl and sandwich

Great food- I will come back!

As I found the first two days in Tokyo quite frustrating, I was extremely happy to find a vegan place. The food was great. I had a set containing tofu salad with rice and a noodle soup with peanut butter in it and it was heavenly delicious. As I have more days to come in Tokyo, I will definitely come back

Pros: A lot of vegan options , decent prices, nice service

Cons: Information provided in English is quite short

Lovely Ramen Restaurant

Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and take-out! They open early for anyone craving ramen in the morning! I love that this location is slightly easier to find than the Tokyo Station restaurant. It was quiet on a weekend morning, granted I arrived a minute after opening. It was nice and quick service. Quality food and affordable prices. They sell gyudons and katsu sandwiches for take-out. They also sell two flavors of instant cup ramen and two kinds of dried soy meat. I can't wait to come back!

Pros: Take-Out Available, Cheap Meal Sets, Delicious "Fast" Food

Cons: Inside Station Past Gate, Difficult Location

The Best Ramen

This was my fourth visit to Tokyo and every time I've been to T's but this was a first at this location. But let me first address a few things, I wish people would be more clear with directions in their reviews. So I went to Ueno station but there I could only find a second floor and no sign of T's on the restaurant plan, hmmm! Eventually I figured out you have to go through the ticket barrier as though you are catching a train (you can buy a platform ticket from the machine 140 yen) only then can you access a third floor where this restaurant is, this is important information! T's is next to platform 8.
As other reviewers mentioned, this is not as busy as the Tokyo main station branch. I've NEVER been disappointed with the dishes here, the white sesame was outstandingly delicious, even my two omnivore friends agreed. They have deals where you can add a small curry bowl, or gyoza or mock meats for a little extra, I had all three. They even have dessert which was very good plus they sell take away sandwiches and instant noodles. Next time I need to visit their main branch.
Back in Tokyo again T's is an absolute must! They've added a mapo tofu dish as well as a spaghetti and vegan cheese curry which I was interested in but when there's ramen on offer it's hard to be experimental. I tried the golden sesame this time which is delicious with the peanut butter but not my favourite because of a slightly fishy tasting vegetable. I did try the soy pudding which was delicious and the soy and rice milk ice cream, so smooth and tasty. The mapo tofu side dish was really good but you can't beat the gyozas and soy meat. Having eaten at places across the globe I have to say T's is one of my absolute faves, the white sesame ramen is unbeatable for me. We also got the take away sandwiches and soy meat with rice, both tasty for lunch on the go.

Delicious ramen in a station

The ramen was great, all vegan which is good. The only downside is that it's behind the JR gates, so if you're not travelling on those lines you'll need to buy the cheapest ticket, 140 yen, in order to access it.

Pros: All vegan ramen

Cons: Only accessible behind JR gates

Absolutely love it

Amazing Ramen, Gyūdon, Ma-bo traditional Japanese meals made vegan. I will definitely return. This is my second time at T’s the first was inside Tokyo station so different location than Ueno but same great taste. It took awhile to find this but I went through the JR Iriya entrance and saw signs for the food court I checked the map and found it. This particular spot is considerably smaller than the last but I still enjoy and appreciate it the same.

Great ramen!

I went here twice during my trip to Tokyo! The first time I had the golden sesame ramen which I loved, the second time I had the 'tonkatsu' ramen which I didn't enjoy as much. It was a little difficult to find, but there were some maps of the ecute mall which I used to find my way.

Pros: All vegan!

cheap & delicious

Just as some other comments state. The Restaurant is INSIDE the JR Metro Area, you have to search for it to find it. I was already at other T's Tan Tan and I really love their Ramen. I would always recommend T's Tan Tan for a quick grab, their stuff is easy and delicious.

Yummy ramen & sides

T’s Tan Tan is located INSIDE the JR station of Ueno so it’s a bit tricky to find, especially since the station gets crowded during rush hour. It took us about 50 minutes to find the location, but it was worth it. They have great tasting ramen, as well as flavourful gyozas, soy kaarage, and tonkatsu sandwiches. They also sell vegan instant ramen which is hard to find in Tokyo. My omni family enjoyed the food as well.

Pros: Fully vegan, Lots of different options

Cons: Hard to find, No gluten free options

Yum

Really delicious food and super nice and helpful staff. English menu easy to read and the staff pointed us towards a deal to help save money with what we wanted to order. Needed to buy an entry ticket as the restaurant is inside the station ticket gates but only 140yen and totally worth it.

Amazing tonkotsu ramen.

It's first time for me to have "vegan tonkotsu ramen" in my life.
The taste was really amazing, totally like a real one.
The price was reasonable as a vegan food in Japan and after we ordered, the staff served our food in 5mins.
They have many brunch in Japan, so if you want to eat good healthy ramen, please try this.

Holy Guac

Gah, this place was so incredible. My friend and I shared a ramen, gyoza and one of those soy meat things so it was good to taste pretty much everything, and still have room for desert! Very filling but definitely no regrets

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Such tasty food , Cute little panda soy ice-cream dessert

You’ll Want More

Delicious tasting vegan ramen restaurant. They also serve gyoza and fried soy meat. A good price for what you get. Also there 2 minute noodles in a cup (250¥) is pretty amazing if you want to take some home.

Favourite ramen in Tokyo

It’s not really ~ traditional ~ ramen but dare I say better. The sesame based broth is rich and creamy, and full of flavour. I also ordered the gyoza which were nice although I have had better and I’m not a fan of gyoza in the first place. It’s a bit of a struggle to find so don’t come too hungry or you’ll get crabby trying to find this damn place - and curse yourself for being in Keisei Ueno station instead of JR Ueno station. Popular with both locals and foreigners!

Unbelievably vegan!

We ordered karaage, gyoza, and three bowls of different types of ramen (All vegan of course). My brother is not vegan nor vegetarian but he absolutely enjoyed the tonkatsu ramen and found that it was better than the non-vegan ramen sold in Paris.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable time and was quite cozy. Would definitely love to come again!

Brilliant

Nice service, great Ramen and value-for-money lunch set. You do need to pay 140 yen if you come from outside the station to enter the station, but it worth it! One of my favorite veggie places in Tokyo

Perfect place

Can get busy here as a really popular place. Had to queue but not for very long. Situated inside the station you get to it by going up the lift on platform 15 and it's above platform 8.
Really clean and fresh inside and doesn't feel like you're in a station.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Really great knowing that you can choose anything without having to check.
They also do takeaway sandwiches.
Food is tasty and with it being all vegan anything is good!!! Def be coming here again!

Pros: It's ALL vegan
