It was decent - Edit
I was excited to try True Food Kitchen because I’ve heard great things about it for a while now. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed. The atmosphere is really nice and I appreciate that the menu clearly indicates what is vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. I ordered the bright eyes refresher and the Mediterranean wrap. The drink and wrap were both good, but nothing special and certainly not worth the price. It didn’t help the experience that the service was very slow. I’m not sure I’ll be back to True Food Kitchen.

It's just OKAY - Edit
It has some vegan options but just not worth the money. There are plenty of other places to go for really great vegan food for less money. The atmosphere is nice but a little loud. The tea is good but I should have ordered without ice...which is mostly what filled the glass. The smell of meat cooking was a little too strong for me. I don't really feel the need to return.

Great atmosphere. The staff was available to answer questions about menu items. The food was good. We will definitely go back. However, it is on the pricey side.

Okay - Edit
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. I got the mushroom, beet and walnut burger with fingerling potatoes. They were okay, but neither the burger nor fries were hot or well seasoned. I’ll give it another try.

Expensive but tastes good - Edit
I like the healthy options here and I will say that the food here does taste good. The quinoa & ancient grain bowls taste great and the edamame dumplings are to die for…but holy hell it’s so expensive for the portion. It’s a nice treat like once a year. Was very surprised to see they had a vegan pizza option with almond ricotta (warning…it is seasonal). I didn’t have that but had my usual quinoa bowl with tempeh. It tasted great and was thankful that tempeh & tofu were an option.

Well labeled food, cool spot - Edit
My omnivorous family and I enjoyed our meal at True Food Kitchen. After visiting one in Pasadena this summer, I’m a bit obsessed with the tahini harissa cauliflower; it is soooooo good! I liked the teriyaki quinoa bowl, which had a mix of quinoa and rice. My vegetarian mom and husband loved their food, as did my meat eating dad. Overall, it’s a great place with something for everyone. It was much less crowded than other options in town center.

Less than normal quality - Edit
Staying in Jax on business for an extended period of time. Being a gluten-free vegan True Foods has always been a go to. Had food delivered on 2 different occasions to give them a chance and quality and consistency for True Food name, reputation and $$$ is definitely lacking at this location.

Really impressed with the vegan options here. The waiter was knowledgeable about veganism, so he immediately knew what to take off dishes to veganize them when I asked. We tried the mushroom, beet, and walnut burger which was so flavorful, the mushroom and spinach pizza (the standout!) that had an incredible garlic flavor and vegan almond ricotta. The corn soup (seasonal) was so good too!

The vegan pizza is literally what dreams are made of - Edit
We also loved the hummus (without feta) and the teriyaki quinoa bowl. Guacamole was good, but I wouldn't get it again.

Disappointing - Edit
The food was marginal at best. With three of us, two didn't like their choices and one thought theirs mediocre. It gets 2 stars because the service was really good. Highly not recommended.

Nice find! - Edit
Skeptical since this is a chain and even more skeptical since it’s located in a huge shopping mall strip … but VERY pleasantly surprised. Lots and lots of options and a nice variety that differs from normal vegan options!

Airy, clean, family-friendly - Edit
As the only vegan in our family, it’s hard to find a place to go that pleases everyone, but this is it! All our dishes received rave reviews from everyone, even down to a finicky child. Way more choices than just salad and hummus for the vegan, including a wonderful vegan key-lime pie. The staff are friendly and courteous, and very professional. The atmosphere is clean and airy. Don’t miss the watermelon lemonade!

This place is super yummy and great to go with your non vegan family or friends. Everything vegan is labeled and they always have lots of options even though the menu changes seasonally. The cauliflower appetizer is a must! Hands down best cauliflower I’ve ever had, I get it every time I go. Yummy cocktails too!

Beet this burger! - Edit
What a treat! The hubby and I tried this place for the first time during a quick trip to Jax from Orlando. We shared two apps and two entrees. The roasted brussel sprouts and hummus plate pair SO well together. Love the pickled red onions and cucumbers nestled in the hummus! Fresh made pitas. Delish! We also split the Butternut Squash pizza and the Unbeetable Burger. Holy mouth party! Lovely balance of caramelized onions, kale, dried cranberries, and almond ricotta on the pizza, and the beet burger...OMG! The beet burger was our favorite! It’s not a crispy or typical flattened style burger; it’s rounded, full, and soft...so when you bite in, it simply melts in your mouth! Try the handcrafted cocktails too! Everything we tried was carefully crafted. We will definitely return for more!

Fantastic Food and Upbeat Modern Atmosphere - Edit
I am gluten-free and vegan. Therefore, the items I chose were all in compliance with my preferences.

Atmosphere was very upbeat, and modern. Had lots of light, and was an open cheery atmosphere.
SERVICE
My service was very fast, and friendly. The servers all seemed happy, and available for questions. The manager even stopped by!
FOOD
I loved everything I ate.
*Matcha Horchata (tea with oat milk and vanilla)
* Cauliflower Polenta
* Teriyaki Quinoa
* Key Lime and Strawberry Parfait
(I submitted pics).
They just opened in Nov of 18. They have seasonal changes to their menu.
They serve animal products, but had more vegan/vegetarian offerings than anything else.
They are in St. Johns Town Center, near the Apple Store. Menu is on their website (truefoodkitchen.com), or on Google.
Pros: Lots of vegan and gluten free options., Open, light, airy atmosphere, Focus is on healthy fare.
Cons: A little noisy, due to the open concept, but, liv., They still serve some animal products.
