Good place for a drink, not for a vegan meal

I like this place to have a drink. I once had a look at the menu to have dinner. Some dishes are labelled with pictograms (vegetarian,..). A the bottom of the menu, in the legend, I saw the "vegan" pictogram but it wasn't mentioned with any meal in the menu. So I asked if they had any vegan meal (I had to explain what vegan means) and they were unable to answer me, so I didn't eat.
