Fancy but not - Edit
1st time here. Big parking lot. I was here on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. They have an upstairs and downstairs as well as a general store (!?). Very pretty outside seating area with lights. Inside is spacious and open concept. Bar tables and communal tables available. There is a “snack bar”. You seat yourself and a server will take your drink orders (beer, wine, seltzer). If you want water, it’s self serve. You go up to the snack counter and order your food and then come back and pick it up when it’s ready. There were two items clearly labeled Vegan on the menu. They have some other vegetarian options that can be modified to make them vegan. I ordered their crispy tofu (absolutely delicious) & their spicy jerk Seitan sandwich - comes with fries. Again, I really enjoyed the tofu. The Seitan sandwich was smaller than I was hoping for. The bread was thick and definitely a mouthful. If they change their bread or increase the amount of Seitan they put in the sandwich, it might be worth getting but it’s a pass for me if I return.

family-friendly which is a plus. i was here for a wedding rehearsal hangout thing and some pals were able to bring toddlers and even new borns with no issue.
Read moreHOWEVER! the entire place smelled like hops. in a not fun way. it was also really loud. the whole place is “walk up” style but then there were a ton of staff members on the floor doing..idk what?
food was decent. not very gluten-free friendly so i stuck with fries. my husband got the seitan sandwich..that was really really wet and messy.
it’s neat that they have vegan options that don’t need modifications (october 2023) but like the sandwich, the whole place is kind of a mess.

No Vegan Options 6/11/23 - Edit
Was pleased to see vegan mentioned a few times on the (outdated) online menu, but very disappointed when I arrived and was told they now have nothing for the plant eaters. 👎

Go for the beer experience, not the food - Edit
I had the VEGAN BANH MI sandwich (on house made baguette, seitan, mushroom pâté, pickled daikon, jalapeño, side of fries $13). It was OK, nothing surprisingly amazing). I would go back for the beer (I am in love with Freaky Peach), not for the food.

not worth going out of your way for - Edit
The food was fine, but nothing special. Nothing on the menu is vegan as-is, and the so-called vegan menu is just a menu telling you what to take off from each dish to make it vegan. And so we had black bean tacos without the avocado crema (just black beans and salsa), a pretzel without any sauce, fries without the aioli, street corn fries without aioli or cotija. I was hungry and so the food was fine, but nothing especially flavorful or worth the prices. I should have read the reviews here closer. When I read that they had a vegan menu I thought there would be better options.

Decent Food - Edit
Tröegs is one of those places you have to commend for at least having legitimate vegan options and even going as far as to have a separate menu upon request. There isn’t anything too experimental on this menu but for most guests, the food is an add-on to the brewery experience and is there to compliment your drinks. I would certainly go again if I was in the area.
