A nice surprise! - Edit
Super exciting to find a vegan option during a road trip. It’s a bit away from the highway, but worth it if you don’t want to get mediocre fast food from a chain.
Read moreI ordered a mango smoothie and was not a fan. It was very sweet and tasted very artificial so I wouldn’t order that again. The food was pretty good. We ordered tacos, wings, and a chicken sandwich. The wings were our favorite. The tacos were good, but needed more filling. It felt like more tortilla that filling. The buffalo chicken sandwich was good, but I wouldn’t recommend for a road trip because it was so messy and unfortunately we were given napkins on our bag. The fries that come with the sandwich are so fresh and good as well.

A Local Vegan Staple - Edit
The criticisms I had in my previous review have been mended, and I now happily and heartily recommend Trio to anyone looking for a delicious meal! They now make a lot of their things in-house (like the cheese sauce and the "chicken" in their sandwiches mmmmm!) and the quality and taste are much improved! My favorites on the menu are the Buffalo Meet Chick'n sandwich, the Chick'n Caesar Tacos, the potato wedges, and the Cauliflower Wings with Thai Chili Sauce. The customer service is excellent. Every single item on the menu is fully vegan. My only complaint is that I can't afford to eat it every day!

Hands Down Best Plant Based restaurant I have ever been to - Edit
It was amazing, solid comfort food. Had delicious and thoughtful flavours. My 4 year old requested Mac and cheese and while it wasn’t officially on the menu they offered to combine the pasta from the pasta dish with the nacho cheese sauce and my 4 year old happily ate it and said “oh yeah! That’s the stuff”

The pasta dish tasted just like my Nona’s.
Peach iced tea was sublime.
The chicken sandwich with option of ranch or maple mustard (and one other we don’t try) was amazing. Satisfied a craving I have had for years.
The loaded potato skins also satisfied a 7 year itch. Absolutely spot on.
No complaints.
10/10 stars. Would happily return. Highly recommend.

The sweet potato tacos are awesome! We have an egg allergy in the fam, so we don't have a lot of choices in SEMO. This is the only one, actually. And it is great! We will come back whenever we are in town. Come eat here so this quality vegan place thrives!

This restaurant was OK, and the food was OK. The big issue that made our visit, not particularly pleasant was walking into a sticky floor, sticky table and dirty, sticky menus. We really wanted to like this place, we even detoured to visit it. We had the Buddha bowl and the breakfast tacos. Tofu scramble was watery and could’ve probably been cooked some more, the avocado was nowhere near being ripe.

We were traveling through MO and did an internet search…and stumbled upon Trio. The cashier was so friendly and made great suggestions. We ordered the sweet potato tacos and the macho nachos. Both were great, but the tacos were outstanding. If we lived nearby we would be frequent visitors.

It is so nice that Cape Girardeau has one vegan safe haven for all the native and traveling vegans around. I’ve noticed it’s a bit challenging eating out as a vegan in Cape. Trio is a great restaurant with fulfilling vegan options. We’ve all been in that “well, we have salad” situation. Nothing wrong with salads but there is a noticeable difference between a meat eater’s idea of a salad and a vegan’s idea of a salad. This cozy place has comfort foods and delicious desserts to offer.

Great small vegan restaurant in the area of SEMO. It was easy to find and close to interstate 55 and Family Sportsplex which we were in town for. All vegan restaurant with the perfect size menu. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 desserts, and 3 different entrees. All were very good basic vegan comfort food: nachos, cauliflower wings, potato skins, chick’n sandwiches and a quinoa tofu scramble bowl. The one man who seemed to be taking orders, serving, cooking, and bussing tables, did a great job even though he had a small crowd. The restaurant was a little dirty and the drink selection was free water or one tea choice. The dishes also seemed somewhat grimy. It has also changed since the pictures listed.

I really enjoyed the sweet potato tacos, I got the Caesar salad to go, and it’s AMAZING. GET THE FULL CAESAR SALAD. you won’t regret it! I also got a mango tea very good. Their prices are very reasonable as well!
