Brilliant health food store.

Trinity is brilliant for both stocking the cupboards and lunch time snacks. They have a great variety of vegan staples (huge range of tofu, vegan cheeses and yoghurts) as well as fresh and organic produce. Their vegan sausage rolls and date and pear crumble is my Friday lunchtime treat.

Pros: Great selection of products, Vegan takeaway food that's delicious and sensible

Cons: It's too easy to order and eat too much

Brilliant health food co-op

We love this shop, it's quite small but they manage to pack a lot in. It is vegetarian rather than vegan but is really well stocked with vegan supplies - e.g. vegusto cheeses, fry's products, tofu, tempeh, booja booja, coconut yogurt, good selection of dried pulses (including British grown fava beans!) etc... Really good organic veg, we are getting all our veg there and it works out cheaper than Riverford. Also they have a deli counter where you can get a good vegan takeaway lunch (e.g. salads, quiche, sausage roll, samosa, sandwiches / wraps) and most of their cakes are vegan (had a delicious maple pecan cupcake, yum). Lovely people. And it's a co-op, great!

Pros: Lots of vegan stuff, Fair prices, Workers' co-op

Excellent product selection and great cakes!

I was super excited to find this around the corner from my AirBnB. It packs a lot in to a small space, there was a bustle of shoppers, and the staff were warm and friendly. I even managed to find brand new products that I'd never even seen in London (hello vegan Mars bar equivalent!). I also picked up some kombucha and one of their delicious vegan cakes from their deli counter (which was nestled in amongst other delicious-looking, fresh vegan products). It also sells organic veg, cruelty free toiletries, and fresh bread. All at a reasonable price. A definite must!

Pros: Great selection of products, Fresh cakes!, Friendly staff

Cons: None!

Great little store with good food too

We just popped in here quickly after lunch at "Eat" across the street, and were delighted to see some tasty veg*n options available. Had we known, we may have just grabbed our lunch from here and ate it on the beach. I still had room for dessert though so grabbed a vegan ice-cream that was similar in style to a Cornetto. It was delicious, and I think they're made locally. We also got some natural lozenges for my cold. What a great little place - would do a great service to people living in the area.

Pros: vegan ice-cream "cornettos", tasty food options available to takeaway, great local natural store

Cons: no seating obviously

Well stocked & handy take-away food

Trinity Wholefoods is a workers co-op health food shop in Hastings town centre.
As well as a good stock of your usual health food shop stuff, they stock Infinity products (workers co-op based in Brighton) and do fresh take-away stuff in the chill counter for lunches.
Generally pasties etc. but also their own made salad boxes which are usually good, fresh and filling, and they've recently started making their own sosmix rolls which are good. In summer, there's a choice of sandwiches and pitta pockets to take away with inventive fillings (e.g. peanut butter & bringal pickle with mixed salad, vegan sausage & spicy tomato chutney with beansprouts). In Winter they make wholesome fresh soups and do a good portion to take away for about £1.50. They also stock yummy cakes made at local cafe Eat.
The staff are friendly hippy types who know which things are vegan and all ingredients are marked up.

Pros: fresh salads, sarnies and soups, vegan cakes, friendly staff

Cons: Not 100% vegan, Not massive range
