Unique and really cool - Edit
Don't let the yoga studio facade distract you. This is a fully set up restaurant, with great meals (try the tacos!) and great desserts (try the vegan ice cream sandwich).
The restaurant has a big open air section On The top floor. Great for cool nights or chilling.
Enjoy!

yum - Edit
We had a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and wow! The eggplant dish with sweet potatoes and broccolini was off the charts- and the spaghetti squash entree was delicious too! We loved the variety of teas and service was friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be back.

Awesome overall! - Edit
Trilogy has a great location on a rooftop near downtown SD. It's half vegan cafe, half yoga studio, so the vibes there are always cool. The food is delicious. I've had the perfect tacos and the burger which were both delicious!

Amazing atmosphere! - Edit
This place is extremely unique! It's located at the top of a La Jolla building, as soon as you walk in you'll see an areal yoga class which is so cool the you'll walk past the outside eating area to get inside the restaurant to order. The tacos were pretty great but unfortunately the nachos leave a lot to be desired. I get the raw thing but textures really need to be mastered if you're going to charge this much. I hope to revisit soon and try something different soon.
Pros: atmosphere, lots of options
Cons: expensive for what you're getting

Great, Healthy Vegan food - Edit
I've been here twice and absolutely love it! It is a cute rooftop cafe and yoga studio. It is a very nice environment and the food is delicious. All their food is vegan but they have gluten free and Raw options as well. I've had their decadence raw chocolate whip, buckwheat crepes, raw carrot cake, and pesto squash pasta. All dishes were amazing (my non-vegan friends loved it too). I would highly recommend checking this place out! (It's kind of hard to find, you have to look for the pharmaca store front and go down a hallway to an elevator to the top floor.) It is slightly pricey, my friend and I ate dinner and shared desert and it was $45 total
Pros: Great food, Relaxing atmosphere, Healthy dining
Cons: hard to find, Slightly pricey

Great food in a scenic rooftop location - Edit
Fabulous food at a reasonable price and with a great view from the rooftop restaurant. What more could you ask. We came hungry and left happy, satiated vegans :-D. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Definitely a place to visit if in the La Jolla area.

Unique Atmosphere - Edit
On a rooftop overlooking La Jolla. Very unique. Food a bit pricey, some portions unexpectedly small. I had pancakes, very small, left me hungry.
Pros: Random small portions, Tasty
Cons: Yuppie

Little gem - Edit
Amazing place at a 30 minute drive from San Diego. Definitely worth the visit. The rooftop terrace is simply beautiful -- when we arrived there was an aerial yoga class going on. We went inside first and ordered our food (nachos, coconut wrap and two kombuchas) but then decided to sit outside because it was just too lovely. The food was divine and very filling: the idea was to split the appetizer and then split an entree, but we were already too full! Must have been the kombucha too, which is the tastiest I've had so far. We finished with an acai bowl, which was a bit too much unfortunately, but delicious nonetheless. Oh, and there also was live music at 7. Me and my boyfriend were absolutely in love with this place. Too bad my visit to San Diego is over, otherwise I would want to come back straight away. Hopefully next time!
Pros: rooftop terrace is beautiful, food is divine and nutritious , really friendly staff: you can feel the good vibes

Amazing food - Edit
Trilogy is a bit off the beaten track, being on the roof top but has great food and a wonderful menu. Everything is fresh to order and made with care. Non vegan friends love it, too.

great! - Edit
I ate here with my family today, all of which are not vegan. Regardless, upon entering, it is pretty clearly labeled, being on the top floor with a beautiful view. Such a feeling of serenity is displayed with the aerial yoga featured on the open air of the building. There appears to be tons of juices, smoothies, and entrees, as well as desserts if you have a sweet tooth. I had the "2 amazing tacos" and was suprisingly full regardless of the miniature size of the dish. The protein is very condensed i think- so it caused me to feel pretty fulfilled. Great place and my carnivorous parents loved it, despite initial thoughts.

Intriguing dining - Edit
Trilogy Sanctuary is a very interesting place, with good vegan food, and a unique setting. We enjoyed our meal here very much - a variety of tacos and a crepe. The ambience was relaxed and welcoming. During our meal, there were preparations for a circus performance in the outdoor space. It was interesting to watch the practices.

Great! - Edit
A happy hip homespun place. I've been there several times and have enjoyed every dish. All organic, gluten free. Creative salads, dips, deserts, power smoothies, acai bowls, fresh juice, cooked and raw dishes. Love the spaghetti squash dish, wrap, chili stuffed sweet potato, raw carrot cake, etc. Really, what is not to like about this place? I even bought some meat eating family there and they were open to going again.

Amazing! - Edit
I ordered the Vega nachos, beet salad and carrot cake. So scrumptious! All vegan and organic it was exactly what I've been searching for in San Diego. I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and I plan on trying every single item on the menu. The ambiance felt tranquil and romantic, great place to relax and nourish your body. There's also yoga if your'e into that. Love it!

Home away from Home - Edit
This is my favorite place to eat in all of San Diego. My absolute favorite dish is the Chili with beans, quinoa stuffed inside of a giant open face sweet potato. Everything is all organic, ZERO sugar smoothies and they even have Kombucha on tap!!! The owners have really created a magical ambience and built a community environment where everyone is welcome to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere or share their musical, comedic, dancing talents and more with guests. Peace, love and Yoga everywhere and don't even get me started on the deserts and wild dancing parties!

Oragnic and Vegan in San Diego, needs improvement - Edit
My family dined here for lunch recently. We ordered the nachos, crepe and tacos. The quinoa chorizo, appearing in 2 out of 3 dishes was overpowered with the amount of chipotle, and was more like quinoa with seasonings than chorizo. We did not enjoy it. The taco shell was very good, dehydrated and the chips for the nachos were dehydrated yams, very good. The nachos had a lot of flavors going on, but we could never find then cheezy sauce or sour cream. The crepe (which was overcooked, crunchy and served like a sandwich) had eggplant bacon, which we had a hard time tasting, as it was overwhelmed by the other flavors. The service is super slow, as the owner is also the order taker, chef, server and buser, our lunch took 1.5 hours, so leave lots of time. The desserts looked great, we never tried them, and the juices looked fresh. The view and overall feel of the space was lovely, very organic, lots of wood, couches and a yoga space. Improvements on clean plates and glasses would be appreciated, as well as the tables to be wiped and floor cleaned. The owner is super nice, but we will probably not return until some tweaking is made to the food and cleanliness of the space.
Pros: organic, soy free and gluten free
Cons: more attention to detail, plates and glasses could be cleaner, slow service

trilogysanctuary 31 Dec 2014 - Dear Stacy,
First of all - Thank you so much for your feedback and thank you for coming to Trilogy. My name is Leila - I am the owner of Trilogy. I wanted to first of all offer my apologies and second of all let you know why you might have had the experience you had.
I can understand your frustration about the long wait for the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant.
The day you came - we were incredibly understaffed. We usually run with 4 or 5 employees - and that day we only had two. On top of that we had one of our busiest lunches we have ever had !!
With just two members of staff - who were doing their best to take orders, make food, buss tables, wash dishes and keep all the customers happy - you can see why things such as cleanliness got missed. This has never been an issue for us when we have our usual amount of staff.
The long wait was also due to not enough staff. Our Chef and Operations Manager - Scott - the person you were referring to in your review - was indeed having to do 'everything!' Cook, clean, takes orders etc. This definitely meant that people had to wait longer than usual for their meals. On a usual day - when we are fully staffed - this would certainly not have been the case!
I am sorry that you did not entirely enjoy your food - I would absolutely LOVE to invite you back for a lunch on us - anytime you like. To apologize for your negative experience and to show you how we usually run the place :-)
Blessings,
Leila, Trilogy Sanctuary.

Nice Smoothies But Slow Service - Edit
We had two smoothies when it wasn't busy and still waited about fifteen minutes for our smoothies. At least the flavour was nice. The outdoor area is also a nice place to chill out on a nice day.
Pros: Smoothies Are Yum, Good Outdoor Area
Cons: Slow Device, Prices Moderate

Beautiful, healthy food! - Edit
Although it was a bit of a puzzle to find (look for the green Pharmaca awning, enter on the left through the Massage Envy door, walk through the hallway to the elevator, push PH for the 4th floor rooftop), the food styling was photo-worthy and tasted as good as it looked. The rooftop setting was superb.
Pros: Beautiful food, Rooftop setting
Cons: A bit hard to find.
