CLOSED: Treehouse

Great for a cheap ethical lunch served by friendly staff. The feel of this place changes from month to month,ranges from vibrant to unloved, I think depending on the staff involved. Full of interesting reading material, even if a bit out of date.

The Tree House is a vegetarian oasis in West Yorkshire. It's heart is definitely in the right place right down to the organic paint on the toilet walls.

Rhubarb pie for afters was really nice. Good ambiance, friendly people. Recommended.

I'd like to tell that it's a very good restaurant! And the athmosphere is really fine! i worked there for a month, i was volunteer like all the staff, and if you like bio or vegan food, go there, don't wait, this is the best !

Living in Bradford city centre I am a regular visitor to the treehouse - it is just across the road from the university. The food is always good and uses locally sourced, organic ingredients where possible. Most food on the menu is vegan, but not always labelled so do ask if you are not sure. The coleslaw and salads are always vegan. Soya milk, cream and margerine are always available. Chocolate cake and cheesecake are usually vegan too. Vegan bangers and mash night once a month plus other thursday evening treats. It is not uncommon for everything on the menu to be vegan, it is always nice to have such an amount of choice. You can also order boxes of organic veg from here. It is pretty small upstairs, but there is a lot more seating downstairs.
