We were looking for a place near the light rail line on our way to a concert. This place was a 2 minute walk from the station. It 5:00 so it was not too busy, and the service was great. It's cozy and relaxing. Our waitress was very helpful as I wanted everything to be vegan and gluten free. We shared a Thali plate, and it was delicious and just the right amount.
We've been going to Travelers for almost two years now. It was one of the first Indian places we ate at in Seattle. When we went Vegan we were so happy that they would accommodate us no problem. Every month Travelers has a different Thali depending on the seasonal veggies and fruits. Usually all of the dishes are amazing and different. Spiced perfectly, truly Indian - not watered-down Indian. The Chai is especially amazing as they will make it with whatever type of "milk" you would like. We will usually buy the powder and spices and make a couple of gallons at home-that is how good it is! Sometimes the service is super slow and sometimes it is just fine. The people who work there are very nice and accommodating. When you go just make sure you have plenty of time and you are not in a hurry! There is also very limited seating so go during off hours. (They are also closed on Monday and Tuesday!) The deluxe thali is enough for two people for sure. It also comes w/ vegan desserts!
