Great food with vegan options

Small portions so we took both two mains one side each, but it's good ! I did not find it expensive (but that might depend on the exchange rate 😊). ask for the Vege menu even if you speak/read Japanese because there is more options there (including soy meat)

Best Mexican I've had in Japan

I live in Tokyo and this place was much more authentic and tasty then any Mexican I've eaten at so far in Japan. During a non-tourist corona season, this place was one of the most popular places we saw. Huge range of mezcal etc. Food was delicious, separate veggie menu (in English too) with vegan options marked. Tostadas were to die for, gauc was nice and freshly made. Friendly, helpful staff and warm atmosphere. Recommend this one!

Pros: Tasty vegan choices

Cons: A little pricey if you're on a budget

Great Mexican Food in Japan!

Portions are a bit small, but that means you can try multiple things and you'll want to! I had guacamole and chips, a vegan burrito, and a vegan taco. Let them know if you're and check the chalkboard over the kitchen for vegan tacos. Get a margarita or two :)

Pros: Strong margaritas, Takes credit cards, Ingredients clearly marked

Cons: Portions are a bit small

Much needed vegan meal

My partner and I arrived late in Kumamoto after a day of travel and were thrilled to find Tortacos open and with multiple vegan options. The staff were extremely friendly. The place was packed with what seemed to be mostly locals. It’s a very cozy and friendly environment. The menu clearly indicated vegetarian items and stated items can be made vegan. After ordering, I noticed the vegan chorizo on the specials board and asked to add it to my burrito. A language barrier resulted in me getting two burritos - which ended up being fine because they are tiny! They use a black bean spread, not actual beans, and there is no rice in the dishes. The burrito had a lot of lettuce and fresh veg but wasn’t super filling - hence the need for two. My partner got the veg enchiladas which were stuffed with potatoes and pretty tasty. Overall it was a great local dining experience and a much needed and much welcomed vegan meal in a location lacking many vegan options. However the food was pretty mediocre and pricy.

Good Alternative to Chipotle in Japan

Delicious food, but pricey for the portion size. Let them know to remove the dairy and use corn tortilla. Order the Mango Smoothie if you got spare change.

Pros: Vegan options available

Cons: Portions are tiny
