Large Seperate Vegan Menu, Marvellous Italian Food! - Edit
Torna a Surriento is located in a beautiful spot overlooking Bangor pier and serves up beautiful food to match the view. Their website is a little dated, so I did not know if the full vegan menu listed on there would be available in the restaurant, but they had the exact same menu on during my visit. It delights me that Torna a Surriento has an extensive vegan menu available, but unfortunately, they did not enquire about dietary requirements or offer the vegan menu to my party so after flicking through the menus they had provided us with I had to ask a member of staff for the vegan menu which is it's own seperate menu. There are no drinks on the vegan menu, and the drinks (including wines) on the primary menus were not labelled as vegan, so I do not know if they have vegan beers and wines and as I was not drinking I did not enquire.
Read moreThe staff were friendly and attentive, and we did not wait long for our food. They even catered to our request of wanting the starters and mains to come out at the same time. I had the Risotto ai Funghi and the Fresh Salad with Cucumber and Peppers as a side. The Risotto was absolutely divine and was by far the nicest Risotto I have ever had since becoming vegan. The Fresh Salad side was a large portion which did not include any peppers as listed, but it did include tomatoes and carrots, which I do not mind as I ordered it just to have a salad rather than order it for the peppers.
Overall, I had a really nice experience and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. There are definitely some changes that could be made to improve the experience for Vegans, but Torna a Surriento are already doing SO much more than most places for vegans, and the food they serve is fantastic. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for vegans who are looking to enjoy an Italian evening meal.

Good vegetarian options for me and good meat/fish for my wife. Slight problem with lemon cake that didn’t taste of lemon but it was swapped without any hassle. All very good apart from that.

Stumbled upon this place and so glad I did. Thought there was only one vegan choice but the very friendly owner (?) offered a whole vegan menu. Spoilt for choice. Would really recommend this place!

Absolutely delighted to find this place! The vegan menu is insane! We went for the bruschetta to start which was scrumptious!!! And then we shared the vegano pizza (with extra pineapple) and vegan lasagna. Both were exquisite! Staff were also super friendly and the place mixes traditional Italian decor with street food vibe!
