Entire vegan menu - Edit
Great options. Fast, good & reasonably priced. My personal favorite is the vegetarian taco without cheese & sour cream (though they have vegan cheese & sour cream). They have a vegan taco with different toppings that is good too.

I’m a loyal customer at Tony’s Tacos. I always order food for pick up on the app. I sent my boyfriend to grab it for me and when he got home I started checking to see what was what and realized the food wasn’t mine. I got an order meant for someone with my same first name, so I do understand how they could’ve mistook it. I called to ask can I pick up my correct order ( I live about 10 minutes away) the person transferred me to the manager. He didn’t say sorry he just asked for him to bring the food back. During a pandemic I was confused why he would want it back after I had brought it home and touched it. When my boyfriend made his second trip to the restaurant he asked for my correct order. The manager came up, his first words were “did you bring the food” my boyfriend was confused and asked for clarification, the manager said “do you have the rest of the food from the order you started eating.” He told the manager he didn’t for seemingly obvious reasons. Then the manager looked dumbfounded he didn’t give him the old food back as if this wasn’t their mistake in the first place. then he was all huffy puffy when he had to hand over the correct order to my man without getting the old order we touched back. My boyfriend asked why why they would even want that food back, not to mention there’s covid. he just scoffed “it’s fine take it” or something under his breath . If he treats his customers like this, I can’t imagine how he treats his workers. We will not be coming back.

A Mexican place with vegan cheese and sour cream. - Edit
A basic bare bones restaurant with a vegan section on the menu. Food was delicious and it was nice that it had vegan cheese and sour cream. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Not a fancy place but I’d go back as the food was tasty and good.

I ordered a vegan quesadilla and there was ground meat in it. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone who is strictly vegan or vegetarian.

I wish I could give it a 5 star rating. There is a vegan section on the menu and everything from it is great. I really want to know what type of sour cream they use because it’s fantastic. Even my picky-eater husband loves it, especially the Mexican rice!

Tasty, Inexpensive Mexican Cuisine - Edit
I first ate at Tony's Tacos the day it opened and have visited it many more times since. I make a point to stop by whenever I'm traveling near Normal. The owner and staff are wonderful and the food is tasty. If you like inexpensive, authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the place. I tend to go for the burritos with nopales. This comes with two choices of salsa, but if you prefer something more fiery, they've got it for the asking.
Read moreThere are several naturally vegan or easily veganized items on the menu. If you're not sure, the staff will help you order to taste. The last time I stopped in, Jesus, the owner, came by for a chat and told me that he is planning to create a separate vegan menu.
