Vegan cheese, pesto and more!

For a non vegan place this restaurant chain has great options: vegan - mozzarella, pesto, meatballs, pepperoni, seitan chicken … and more! If only their gluten free crust was also vegan (contains egg)!

Awesome Options

Variety of interesting vegan options made me want to try this place. The sub is so huge and the meal comes with fries. Couldn’t not even eat half. Sharing is caring. The owner stopped in while we were looking at the menu and said his fave vegan sub is the Ole on a seeded bun. He was about to leave then decided to make my coworker’s sub himself first.

Pros: Options, Friendly staff, Close walk from hotel

Good amount of options for non veg place

I got half and half of two of the vegan pizzas, which I thought was so cool you could do that. However, we ordered online and it said our order was ready 30 mins before we even got there and yet we still waited like 10-15 mins after we got there. The pizza could’ve used more sauce. But the eggplant meatballs were REALLY good!

pizza was good, but

We've been here several times before. The pizza is good even if expensive. We ordered the pizza to dine in. The music was awful (lyrics about rape and murder) downright offensive and blasting. It was all I could do to sit there. They changed the music after a complaint but still so loud you couldn't talk across the table. To top it off, they over charged us. Will not go back.

Pros: good pizza

Cons: too noisy with awful, offensive music, over charged us

Awesome option!

It’s at the very end of the boardwalk, about a block away. VERY good pizza (I got the OG vegan). We also got the Vegan Ole sandwich, which was great, and veganized k-pop fries.

I wasn’t expecting so many options! And I was super surprised by the quality! I also have seen a lot of comments about poor customer service, but we had fast service and the kid working the counter was very informed and nice.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Tony without the Boloney

I played it safe and got a regular vegan cheese pizza, and it was really good! The marinara sauce that they used was really savory. I'm always wary of eating pizzas cold because I found that a lot of pizzas would have an off-putting mealy texture at that temperature, but thankfully this pizza was just as tasty cold as it was hot and it's textual integrity still remained. My non-plant-based friends liked the vegan pizza as well--it made them feel less bloated than they would have felt had they had gotten a dairy-cheese pizza. And since they felt less bloated, they had room for more pizza, so it's a win for everybody
The vegan olé was a really savory sandwich, and the seitan within it had a really good bite to it as well. The flavor is addicting; I had saved half the sandwich for a later time but found myself getting bites of it intermittently despite still being full. It's a gooey and messy sandwich to eat, so be cautious if you plan on eating it around someone you're trying to impress--though if they're worth the company, they wouldn't care about the mess you're bound to make and would just be happy to see you enjoy such a delicious sandwich.
Extra kudos for the cool packaging!

Pros: Variety of vegan meals, Cool aesthetic

Cons: Expensive

Legit Vegan Pizza!

Hesitant to try this place out since it hasn't had any reviews since 2021. Being just a 5 minute walk away from where we were staying, we decide to give it a try anyway. We are so happy we did because OUR FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! We ordered a large vegan cheese pizza (2 nights in a row) as well as the Vegan Ole sub. Staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend for a simple vegan pie. The Ole sub was also fantastic.

Pros: Good pizza, Good sub, friendly staff

should not be included on this app

so, despite having the word “vegan” written all over their menu, they have no vegan cheese or seitan. they were like, “i mean, we could try and put together a sub,” but do not order something online labeled VEGAN and actually expect it to be vegan because it’s not.

Pros: hipster pretense?

Cons: no vegan options lol

Eggplant pizza

Stopped by Toney Balooneys after seeing so many postings in Vegan in Nj Facebook page. There was 1 vegan pie in the display counter. The label did not completely match the pie. $5 a slice. Not too shabby. The establishment was very dirty and felt unsanitary. Overall, 3/5 but would not go out of my way to return. Great to have vegan options available.

Pros: Few different vegan options

Cons: The establishment was dirty. Skeeved me out

Four great vegan options!

Me and my boyfriend (omni) were starving and the options here (AC) suck for vegans. We saw here and our food was made super quick. The pizza was by the slice and tasted great. I also got the sub which was my favorite!

Pros: Four vegan options

Impressed

AC has almost 0 vegan options. I searched for vegan food around me and found this pizza place. The reviews didn’t sound great but I figured it give it a try. I’m glad I did, the macaroni and cheese pizza is phenomenal. Even if AC had tons of vegan options I’d still return to this spot. Yes it’s greasy, but it’s pizza and that’s to be expected. Og pizza is nice but the macaroni pizza is phenomenal and creative.

Pros: Vegan options , Tasty

Cons: Expensive , Greasy

Bland pizza for so many ingredients

I got the O.G. Vegan pizza. For its great description, it was surprisingly bland. The sauce was bland, and I didn’t care for the eggplant meatballs. It appears that they have a few vegan options, but they were out of seitan so it reduced the options.

Pros: A few vegan options , A vegan option besides a burger in Atlantic City

Cons: Needs more flavor, Expensive for pizza size

Great!

Tried the Vegan Ole sub and it was very good. They have a good amount of vegan options to choose from and they all look interesting so it’s hard to choose. Prices are a little high but that’s typical for vegan food

Delicious

I got the “squash the beef” sandwich which has eggplant meatballs, marinara sauce, and vegan mozzarella. Yes they had vegan cheese! I did not ask but it tasted like Daiya...although it was super melty (good thing) which I’m not used to with Daiya. Anyway, the sandwich was delicious, it was pricey but it was huge and I got 2 meals out of it. The vegan options in AC are limited but I would definitely eat here again.

Different & Delicious!

I loved this place. We shared the Thai Spring salad, King Stromboli and Wat Wat sub. The salad dressing was so flavorful and it went perfectly with the sriracha cauliflower. The King was Moroccan flavors, with spiced cauliflower, red quinoa, hummus, harissa sauce & golden raisins. The sub was Thai red curry, rice noodles, roasted Brussels sprout, bamboo shoots, sesame seeds & Thai basil. It was off. the. hook!! Everything went together so well! It’s true they had no “meat” substitutes but everything had protein from beans, quinoa, nuts and seeds. I appreciate a place that can make awesome flavor with whole ingredients. It’s also true they do not have any type of cheese which was only a bummer because my picky kid was eating with us and didn’t appreciate the flavor party. It would have been nice if we could have gotten him a plain pizza with cheese. But I’m not taking a star off for that since everything was so creative and delicious. Also Atlantic City, at least in the past, isn’t known as a family destination so I can’t blame them for not having a full kids menu when that’s not their specialty. We had it delivered to our hotel so I can’t comment on the location or service. Delivery was prompt and convenient though- easy to order from their website, you could even set the time you wanted in advance & they got the order right even though we did a create your own burrito with just beans and avocado for my kid that wasn’t even on the menu. Oh and the portions were huge!! We got at least 2 meals out of it.

Pros: Flavorful & Delicious , Convenient , Huge portions

Cons: No vegan cheese, Not much for picky vegan kids

Small fun dive-style Pizza joint. Does NOT have Daiya cheese.

Fun 'dive bar' style pizza joint. Has seating outside, and is very close to the north end of the boardwalk. Not many vegan options, but tasty base and sauce. Has a couple of speciality pizzas with hummus or other 'different' ingredients.

However, no matter what the description says, they do NOT have Daiya or any other type of vegan cheese, or any type of faux meat protein. It does have a regular menu that denotes items that can be made veggie or vegan suitable. Mainly by deleting items, not by substituting for a vegan alternative - but at least they're clearly marked which is appreciated.

18" pizza was $15 for a plain sauce on top of dough, with garlic powder and oregano provided on the side. Speciality pies were $21.

Toilets very clean. Good local soda selection ($3 for a bottle) but $2 for a small bottle of water wasn't awesome.

Pros: clearly marked menu, fun vibe, French fries were delicious.

Cons: although helpful menu, limited vegan options, charged $15 for sauce on a thin base with nothing
