Small vegetarian buffet where you either fill your own bowl and pay by weight, or ask the staff to fill it for you. With the latter you get five items of your choosing plus white rice, or upgrade to purple rice. Braised egg and soup are other upgrade choices. Open Mon 11:00am-2:00pm, 5:00pm-8:00pm, Wed-Sun 11:00am-2:00pm, 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Great value

This hidden gem was a great quick stop for lunch before going to the DMV nearby. I can see why it’s a neighborhood favorite. At NT$55 for five veggies and purple rice, it’s an excellent value. Just keep in mind that it has pretty limited seating and is only open for lunch. There are about a dozen veggie dish choices, about half of which lean towards whole plants while the other half is processed soy a and wheat products.

Pros: affordable, fast, simple

Cons: limited seating, only open for lunch
