Tombo - Edit
Tombo is a Japanese restaurant that offers many vegan options. I ordered a kale salad as a starter and was actually shocked by how small it was given it was 3.80 GBP (~5.00 USD), it was a good salad but could have been much larger for the price. The Yasai Ramen is vegan but I think it might need some work. The soup tasted very bland and needed salt...let's just say I never salted a ramen in my life until last night. The noodles in the soup tasted like those you'd expect in Italian spaghetti, not Japanese ramen, so this was disappointing. Excited by the existence of a vegan matcha cheesecake, I ordered dessert but only to be left slightly disappointed. The cheesecake itself was very pretty, but the cheesecake might have had too much matcha in it, I wouldn't order it again.
Read moreIf I were to factor service into my rating, I'd rate Tombo 2 stars. The service was really bad. The waiter mixed up our order and then kept forgetting items. We were served our food with no utensils and no one came by for 10 minutes to give us any. I eventually got up and requested utensils but even then it took a long time for them to bring some. I should have removed the 12.5% auto tip, but I was being nice by leaving it.
Overall, the price for two people for the kale salad + 1 vegan ramen + 1 katsu + 1 sake + 1 beer + 1 slice of matcha cheesecake cost $74 USD...totally not worth it.
As of now, I'm not sure I'd go back to Tombo.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
Ordered a takeaway: veggie gyoza, vegan ramen and vegan matcha cheesecake - everything was delicious. Kudos for the cheesecake, was really good. The order came in a 100% degradable bag and the food in a recyclable packaging. I recommend trying their food!

Drowned in salt - Edit
We tried both the vegan poke bowls which has some really interesting ingredients but the taste was spoilt with very liberal use of salt.
Read morePleased that more and more restaurants have vegan options but we’re going to give this one a miss in the future.

Excellent vegetarian choices - Edit
Great food and excellent vegetarian Japanese. Their matcha is excellent. We got the inari, nasu dengaku, cold soba noodles, and Okinawa green. Everything was tasty, service was great, and menu labeled all vegan options. Highly recommend

Tasty poke bowls! - Edit
Went here during lunch hour, which can get quite busy, but the service is quick (it does not take a long time to put a poke bowl together). Food was good, although ingredients appeared to be average. Quite pricey for the offering.

Good place - Edit
Nice place with lovely stuff. No tofu based dishes which is surprising being a Japanese but food was delicious although a bit expensive for what it was (10 pounds)

A Few Vegan Options - Edit
Not a massive amount of choice for vegans, but there are a few (largely avocado-based) options.
Read moreI just had the vegan inari sushi, which wasn't bad.
I guess it's an option if you're vegan and really need a fix of Japanese food.
Cons: Not all that much vegan choice

near the museum's - Edit
A decent option five minutes from the natural history museum.
Read moreThe menu has a limited menu focusing on aubergine. We had an aubergine rice bowl and the vegan bento. I felt as though it was the same dishes presented in different ways.
The food was healthy tastings and there was something to eat which is always a bonus.
Need to add more vegan options.
Pros: vegan food, location
Cons: limited

Fresh food, well priced and relaxed space - Edit
Pushing through the throng of visitors to the museum just around the corner, we were really pleased with finding this place within a couple of minutes walk. Loads of vegan options on the main menu, served quickly and with a smile. They accommodated our 2yo moments before she fell asleep for the whole meal, so she got a take out instead (first try of maki and she loved it!). I recommend the aubergine side! Full of flavour and unlike anything I've had before. Window seats were gorgeous - imagine it might get a bit warm in the back room in the summer.

Really enjoyed it - Edit
Great options for vegans, the tofu with leek was delicious as were the onigiri and maki rolls. They also have a miso aubergine that's vegan too. Portion was generous!
