Delicious vegan options - Edit
We love the vegan pizza and garlic knots and tonight tried the veggie chix sandwich (subbed buffalo sauce for ranch) and the meatball sub and they were great. Love that they have so many good vegan options!!

Great vegan options! - Edit
It would be awesome if they put all the vegan options on a separate vegan menu too so that it’s easier to see what is vegan at a glance. Glad this place has such amazing vegan options! Now they just need to go 100% vegan 😁🫡

Lots of vegan options - Edit
Lots of ways to customize pizza to be made vegan. There are vegan garlic knots and sandwiches as well. Everything was delicious!

Our Go-to Place - Edit
Lots of vegan options, and it's possible to "veganize" many more. The service is friendly and they always try to accommodate especial requests. The "Sally's Secret Garden" pizza with vegan cheese and added vegan Italian sausage is my favorite.

Pros: Lots of options, Outdoor patio, Knowledgable staff (for Santa Clarita)
Cons: Dining room can be super loud, Digital menu is annoying, People stand next to the patio and smoke

Soooo sad to report that the buffalo cauliflower is no longer veganizable... Apparently they changed to a non-vegan batter.

Actually, the vegan product that we previously used was discontinued by the supplier due to low sales volume. We didn't change anything - we are sometimes impacted by supplier changes that we cant control. Sorry.

I understand. I was just repeating what the server told me. But why did you get rid of the Sally’s Secret Garden?? It was so yummy.

Bread is not Vegan even though sandwich is labeled as vegan - Edit
I really liked that place and was recommending it to others. Turns out the sub roll is not Vegan. It was given to me on a different type of bread and when i asked why, they told me about the sub roll. This time they gave it to me on a sub roll and said that they don’t know if their breads are vegan. 😫😒 Now I have a hard time trusting the other options.

Cons: Expensive , Vegan labels with non vegan products

Hi Angela,
Read moreI am not sure why you got the impression that we advertise vegan food that is not vegan. This is entirely untrue, and it is damaging to our reputation. We use vegan bread for all vegan sandwiches, garlic bread, and cheese bread, with no exceptions. We spend extra to purchase that bread, and keep it in stock for customers like you. While our standard sub roll is non-vegan (its a famous product from the East Coast from a company called Amorroso), that bread is NEVER used on vegan sandwiches. It is possible that the server working with you was new, and she answered honestly that she "didn't know". If you encounter a situation like that, you should ask to speak with the manager on staff. Anyway, sorry for your concern, but we would appreciate it if unfounded rumors about our business were not propogated, since we rely primarily on word of mouth for our livelyhood, and we do work hard to provide excellent offerings for vegans.
Thanks!

Delicious Vegan Meatlovers - Edit
The vegan meat and cheese options were great. I would not get the chicken (it was a little large for a pizza topping) but the other meats and the cheese were delicious.

Cool Vegan Options - Edit
I placed an order to go, which was a little harder than expected due to the music. Wouldn’t be my first pick, but has viable vegan options. I really enjoyed the vegan meatballs with my spaghetti, but I am not a fan of the chicken substitute we had on our pizza.

I'm sorry it took so long to find out about Happy Cow, sign up, and respond to your review! I would recommend you try our vegan pizza, and some of our other vegan toppings if you don't like the faux chicken. We have an excellent vegan pepperoni, vegan sausage, vegan chorizo, an enormous assortment of farm fresh veggies! Several of our pizza sauces, including our delicious house marinara, are vegan. We also use a vegan mozzarella from Follow Your Heart, which we actually helped develop by offering our kitchen for test baking back in 2007, with Follow Your Heart's lead food chemist, Angel McNall. Glad to hear you enjoyed the vegan meatballs, they are also an excellent product. As to prices, we have no control over the prices companies charge for vegan products - they are indeed expensive. We make the same profit margin on vegan and non-vegan offerings, but the vegan offerings do tend to be more expensive. Also keep in mind that higher prices are to be expected at restaurants that retain quality staff and offer quality food. Minimum wage increases and inflation are real facts of life that restaurants have no control over. The music is never loud - it plays softly in the background. Perhaps your experience was back in 2019 when we had live entertainment inside the restaurant - if so, then we don't do that any more because it was a problem. Live entertainers now perform only on the patio outdoors. Thanks so much for your review, and we invite you to come by and earn more than 3 stars from you!
