Serves meat, vegan options available. Roast restaurant & pub chain - be warned that it's a carvery and is primarily meat-centered, but there will be vegan menu options, which may vary from season to season. Sample vegan choices might be an allotment pie, vegetable roast, grilled aubergine stack, and/or mushroom tart. Or you could order a few sides to make a full meal, like choosing the roast potatoes, stuffing, apple sauce, cranberry sauce, mint sauce, etc. Help yourself to vegetables from the carvery next to the meat: will provide non-buttered veggies on request. Open Mon-Sat 08:00-23:00, Sun 08:00-22:30.

Good portions! - Edit
Great location next to the canal basin. Good to see a separate vegetarian vegan fish (!) menu, with some interesting options. We all went for the mushroom and ale pie, along with vegetables from the carvery. Staff on the whole were pretty good ensuring items were suitable and brought mashed potatoes and cauliflower direct to the table, as the carvery options weren't suitable.

Pros: Interesting menu items , Good portions , Reasonably priced
Cons: Certain staff would benefit from training! , Poor selection of desserts on current menu , Having to queue up by meat

Just a typical carvery - Edit
I am an absolute sucker for just a vegetable carvery so you can’t go wrong with a cheap toby carvery really. The foods just always alright, nothing special but it always hits the spot.

Great start to a Vegan menu. - Edit
I had a delicious vegan carvery. The mushroom and ale pie was amazing. The staff offered me fresh veg to avoid any cross-contamination. The vegan dessert is amazing! I’m impressed to see the start of what could be a fabulous vegan and vegetarian menu!

Good prices, decent options. - Edit
Impressive choices for a large carvery chain. Check veg doesn’t have butter glaze on carvery. Quick service and good prices.

A few vegan options, but lots of cross contamination - Edit
There are a nice selection of items for vegans on the menu, and you have to request vegetables without butter to be made for you. However, there is a lot of cross contamination. I watched the chef carve meat that dropped all over the veg and other items.

Good food - Edit
We visited twice. The first time for lunch and the second time for an evening meal.
Read moreWe had lunchn outside in the sunshine and the views and food were great.
For the evening meal we ate inside and were able to help ourselves to veg from the buffet.
A place that is a carvery would not be our first choice but the food was good and there is plenty of space between tables so we thought it was really good.
Pros: vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked
