Only Option - Edit
We came to Alma with a group of people, they were letting us pick the place to eat but the Octopus Garden was closed and we didn’t see anything else so they chose here and we tagged along. It seems that the menu has been updated since the reviews left before me. The waitress was helpful in our veganized ordering. The burger is now house made and they have swapped their buns out from a local bakery and they are vegan now. Take off the mayo and you’re good! It was actually quite good, better than we were expecting for sure. The dressing for the bowl isn’t vegan, but I swapped it out for their seasonal salad dressing and it was alright! It filled me up at least!

one veganizable dish - Edit
There was only 1 veganizable item on the menu - the buddha bowl. It comes with quinoa, chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, spicy sweet potatoes, green beans, and salad greens. The dressing itself is not vegan, so I substituted it for the strawberry-thyme vinaigrette that normally goes with the seasonal salad. It was filling but nothing special, not as good as the burrito bowl I had at the nearby Octopus's Garden Cafe & Bistro. The vegetarian burger is not vegan - apparently, the bun contains dairy, and there is mayo on the burger.
Read moreI do highly recommend trying their Purple People Eater cocktail made with Empress 1908 gin and Fever Tree elderflower tonic. There is also a great view of the Alma harbor from the patio. Prices are mid-range.
Overall, I'm glad to find a vegan option in a small town like Alma, but it's nothing to write home about, and I wish vegans could have a few more options here.

Only one veganizeable item - Edit
Only one option, but it IS a limited menu to begin with. Our waiter was really great. The Buddha bowl needed some items switched out to be vegan but was delicious and super filling. The sweet potatoes were the bomb.

Limited vegan options - Edit
The menu had two items listed on the menu as vegetarian. They have a veggie burger and a Buddha Bowl. I chose the Buddha Bowl as I prefer to not eat fried foods. Unfortunately, the Buddha Bowl deep fries the chick peas with the fish, seafood and chicken. They were unable to replace fried chick peas with fresh or raw ones. The dressing also has animal products. To make this vegan, they remove both leaving you with a $20 plate of quinoa and baked yams.
Read moreI will give any small town credit for trying but in this case, it might be smarter to pack a lunch as the food you will pay for lacks any kind of flavour, heart or value.

Une bonne option dans le coin - Edit
Très beau restaurant de bord de mer. Plusieurs options végétarienne et possibilité de les "veganiser". Il y a aussi des options sans gluten par exemple le burger Beyond Meat avec pain sans gluten.
