I had the stir fry vegetables with noodles (actually not from the vegetarian menu but he confirmed the dish is vegan) and the tofu with polenta.
The noodles were ok, maybe a little too much sweet sour sauce.
The tofu was amazing, even if smoked which I usually don't like (and it wasn't written on the menu) the taste was balanced, it was a little like smoked fish, very good texture.
The polenta was grilled perfectly.
Cheap for the town (I paid about 70 euros for 4 dishes, wine and water) .
I will surely come back when I'm in Rovinj.

It's sad that they can't veganize the cawliflower steak because of the yogurt cream.
I had the stuffed zucchini without cheese, it was good (I was afraid it was gonna be the Greek style with overbooiled rice, but actually it was perfectly cooked) but I do miss some protein, maybe some soy yogurt or beans.

Great restaurant with amazing hospitality - kudos to waiter Marin. The restaurant is offering sitting in the garden between olive trees and have 4 vegan options on the menu.

All service personnel was very very friendly and helpful.
One of the rare restaurants in the region with explicit vegan/vegetarian food on the menu.
Food came quickly and was handmade with mostly local ingredients. Everything tasted great.

The place is suuuper sweet, outside on a field, among trees. There are not so many vegan options, but they‘re flexible and help very nicely. We had the grilled tofu and the stir fry. As appetizer the guscamole. Everything was very tasteful, very nice spices, super nice staff. Just a must, ir you‘re in Rovinj.

Durch Happy Cow sind wir auf dieses tolle Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Es liegt ungefähr 10 Minuten entfernt von Rovinj, inmitten von Feldern und Olivenbäumen. Es gibt einige Sitzplätze draußen auf dem Feld, aber auch im Lokal ist es schön.

Alles wirklich super lecker. Dazu gab es regionalen Hauswein.
Der Kellner war total freundlich und aufmerksam und der Ausblick wunderbar.
Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man dort in der Ecke ist!

Das Essen war bombe und mit Abstand das beste vegane Essen das ich bis jetzt in Kroatien kosten durfte! Wir hatten Styrfry (10/10) und die überbackene Zuchini gefüllt mit Gemüserisotto - dazu nach Empfehlung noch einen Sauvignon Blanc und einen Rose (Top!).
Als Vorspeise der Toast mit Guacamole (hatte noch nie eine so gute Guacamole😄und als Nachspeise den veganen Karottenkuchen (

Wonderful garden, vegan options - Edit
We were lucky to get a table in the wonderful garden which is in between vineyards and olive trees. The waiters were kind and when I asked for having my dish vegan (homemade burger with bean patty) they understood imediately. Next time I would book a table in advance.

We were happy to hear that they moved a little bit outside of town, to the country side. The place is really nice, it has a true istrian feel. They had two vegan dishes, I had stuffed zucchini and carrot cake. Both was really tasty.

They even have vegan dessert (carrot cake).
Restaurant is located on a small hill, away from streets, lovely view and very cozy. Feels like a vegan(-friendly) oasis in otherwise sparse Istria :)

They moved a Little out of town Rovinj. Into a big green garden with horses, you can ride on, and three harmless dogs which are hanging around the tables. The waiter always has an eye on them.

It is really beautiful!!
They have Limited Vegan options (all are very delicious) but its good to let the waiter know you are on a plant based diet so he can speak with the chef to get you the right food. They are cooking with the vegetables and fruits from their own Garden.
I will definitly come here again when I visit Rovinj next time.
Pros: Green location and garden, Kids will have Fun too , kind waiters

Anyone traveling or living in Croatia will know its hard to find vegan food, especially anywhere outside Zagreb. So to even find a place that serves (openly) vegan options is fantastic! Most cities won’t even have that and you’ll end up with the same old spinach and potatoes order. Topico is not in any way specialized in vegan food HOWEVER they actually have options! And hey I’ll take that any day. The staff is awesome and the stir fry (which is more like risotto) is great (it’s listed as a started) but we ate it as a main one of the two times we were there. They have other options like salad, tofu, stuffed bell peppers etc which are all good but it’s not mind blowing or anything. But at least you’re ordering a full meal in a restaurant and not trying to solve a puzzle with random starters.

Although Tipico is a restaurant that serves meat and fish, it is one of the few places in Rovinj where you can get good vegetarian and vegan options. However, it is a very busy and popular place so the vegan options can sell out fast. We went early in the evening so fortunately there were plenty of vegan choices. The marinated tofu was delicious, as were the accompanying roast potatoes and salad of thinly sliced carrot, courgette and cucumber topped with walnuts. There was even a vegan pud which I have to say was a bit weird (solid, difficult to cut cake covered in carob) but at least they'd made the effort.

I was so hopeful about Tipico after looking at the menu online and seeing how many vegan options they had. After travelling for a week through Croatia, which is not very vegan-friendly, I needed something more than pasta with red sauce or pizza hold the cheese. The menu features a vegan soup option, a vegan starter of rice and stir fry and several vegan options or veg options that can be made vegan. Unfortunately, when we asked about the vegan soup we were told there was none. The main vegan entree, the marinated tofu, was also not available; they were out of tofu. That left only the vegan stir fry starter and two entree options - vegetable carpaccio, so a plate of grilled veg, or stuffed tomatoes, which had feta, but they could make a vegan option without feta, just stuffed with other vegetables that I was told were prepared in the traditional Croatian manner. I ordered the latter, twice specifying that I wanted the vegan version. When it came, of course it had feta. They took it away and brought the right version about 10 minutes later while my partner's dish got cold. The tomatoes were just that - small, baked tomatoes on a bed of lettuce. There was a teeny-tiny bit of onion inside each one but that's it, nothing salty or flavourful to replace the feta. Bland. We did enjoy the "stir fry" starter, but don't expect what we refer to as stir fry in North America. It was a small rice dish, sort of like an Asian risotto, with a few flecks of vegetable. Considering that Tipico's ambiance pales in comparison to other restaurants in Rovinj I wished we'd skipped it and just had another salad or plain pasta somewhere nicer. Maybe you'll have better luck, but I wouldn't go out of your way, or get your hopes up like I did.
