Nice all vegan restaurant - Edit
We had a tasty meal here, and it was nice to try multiple local dishes in a vegan version (plenty of choice in the menu). The lady who served us was very friendly and also showed us how to eat the cakes in banana leaves and taught us some Vietnamese words. The restaurant is targeted towards tourists but the bars in the street surrounding it are not, which we enjoyed as it was excellent for people watching on a very busy holiday season evening. We would certainly recommend the restaurant.

Veganised Vietnamese dishes - Edit
Definetely recommend because you can get a veganised version of most Vietnamese dishes here. The Hue Beef Noodle Soup was quite bland though, I had vegan phos or soups that were much more flavourful along the way. Spring rolls were nice though and the mock meats looked good as well. Maybe I just didn't grab the right dish this time. Super friendly staff, calm and cool place around lunch time on a weekend in February.

Good selection, weird vibe - Edit
The menu has a lot of choices. I got the Bun Bò Huẽ because… I’m in Huẽ. I’ve seen signs for this dish more than any other in Vietnam so I had to try it in its place of origin. I’m glad there was a place here that offered the vegan version. Though, overall it’s the most boring noodle soup I’ve had since being in Vietnam. I’m annoyed that I was dissuaded from coming here by the recent reviews complaining of 8% tax. For me that was like 30¢ USD. I also got a mango smoothie, which hit the spot. But what bugged be about this place was the proprietor. My bill came out to $108,00vnd, I handed $109k because I had some $5000 and $2000 bills. She tapped my stack of bills and either said “ten thousand” or “one thousand” like I hadn’t given her enough. I took my stack back and spread it out on the table to double check and show her. I had a really long day but am now familiar with the currency and was certain I gave her enough. Then she said “ok!” and gave me my $1000 change. I’m not sure what kind of misunderstanding we were having but I feel that she was hoping that I would give her a larger bill. This is the only time in Vietnam where I felt someone was acting questionable. When I first got here and didn’t know what I was doing with the currently every person I encountered would correct me honestly. I have no idea what this woman was trying to do.

Definitely it wasn't my meal style, maybe I've chosen the wrong dish. Fried noodle with tofu and veggies. Be advised that the owner charges 8% extra on the menu price with no previous advice, such a shame.

Very poor food and hidden charges applied to menu price - Edit
We had tofu with fried noodle and vegetables that had a very sweet sauce that we couldn't finish the meal. Very unbalanced flavours unfortunately and they charged 8% on top of cash that wasn't advised on the menu, saying that it's the restaurant charge... Very wrong attitude.

Comemos os 3 tipos de “rice cakes” cada um tem uma proposta bem diferente. E o fresh spring roll, é diferente dos que comemos no norte do Vietnã.
Adoramos o soy chicken with lemongrass and chilli, mixed dried pho, brócolis com tofu e cogumelos!
O prato é uma porção individual, recomendo vir em mais de uma pessoa para dividir e experimentar mais pratos.

Strongly recommend this restaurant! It's nice, clean and the food was just wonderful. There is quite a lot of options on the menu, we ended up ordering vegan beef with lolot leaves, variuous rice cakes and fig mix with crackers and all was super yummy, especially soy beef. The staff was very friendly and spoke english so ordering was easy. They have local beer, but unfortunetely no wine (there are plenty non-alcoholic drinks on the menu though). Our experience was somewhat spoiled by a very pushy picture seller, but that's of course not a restaurant's fault, just be aaware ans take care not to get scammed in this area (I was with my mom who of course bought some tacky overpriced picture from the guy😆). Nevertheless, it's a great place to eat in Hue:)

We enjoyed the setting of this nice local restaurant. It’s always nice to eat alongside locals, too. The staff were very kind and made sure we were well looked after. The prices were also very fair.
Read moreHowever, we weren’t overly thrilled by the food (aside from the ice cream - yum). We had a mango sticky rice (nice, would eat again), fresh spring rolls and crispy veg noodles. The noodles were fine but soaked in oil; I think they may (?) have run out of some of the fresh spring roll ingredients so the resulting dish was strange - some mushrooms with a lot of mint inside a limp pancake. It was hard to eat because it felt like brushing your teeth a bit.
It’s a shame because I feel like this place could be outstanding at their best.

Fully vegan, lots of tofu dishes, salads and fake meats. The soy ice cream is very good. I took off one star because some foods are a bit too sweet for my taste (the curry, the lemongrass chicken).

The best meal I’ve had in Vietnam so far… - Edit
A friendly cafe style restaurant with entirely vegan menu. Lots of mock meat dishes but also o plenty for those who don’t like mock-meats. We had green beans, fried tofu with lemongrass and tofu chilli and a’beef’ dish. The restaurant is also licensed. Set off the busy Le Loi street there is inside and outdoor/pavement seating. It was very quiet when we visited (it was literally us and the owner) but the reviews propelled us and I’m glad we went as it was REALLY great food and excellent value for money.
