Beautiful location - but cash or PayPal only - Edit
As the only veggie place in Taormina I went a couple of times. Quite a few vegan options including starters, pasta and dessert. Staff knowledgeable about which cocktails and wines are vegan, and they are all very lovely and friendly. Can’t fault the service. Beautiful location, very convenient to the theatre. But because of that it gets very busy. Recommend booking at least 1 day in advance. Their pistachio and cherry tomato pasta was amazing, but the pana cotta was just ok (texture was too hard, but this might have been the batch) It was nice to have more unusual vegan options though (not just pasta with red sauce, or gelato). Cocktails, local wine, and local gin with tonic (they had a wide variety) were all good.
Read moreThe only thing is they’re not accepting payment by card at the moment, and the ATMs in Taormina charge ATM fees and % transaction fees, so it gets very expensive. Get your cash out before you arrive in Taormina if you can, where they don’t charge a transaction %. I shopped around and some were 3, 5 up to 13%… crazy. Or they do PayPal or some other kind of direct payment, but if you’re not Italian that one might be difficult.

Stolik na schodach. Bardzo klimatyczne miejsce. Rekomendacje od kelnera trafne i przydatne. Szybka obsługa. Ceny wydają się adekwatne do jakości. Spędziliśmy tam bardzo udany wieczór. Nie akceptują kart płatniczych, bankomat jest bardzo blisko.

I’d been ill so only ate mixed bruschetta plate with my partner. Underwhelming - lots of different ingredients but didn’t taste of much.

They had about four vegan pasta dishes and , wow, a pana cotta. This was summer 2024 so good choice currently.
It was packed and friendly but, like Taormina generally, expensive cocktails. Closed on Sundays so didn’t get to go back for the recommended Carlo.

Fun spot for drinks and dinner - Edit
This restaurant has lovely outdoor seating in a beautiful garden and more seating spills out down the alley. They have multiple vegan bruschette for appetizers that are all delicious, but the best thing on the menu is the vegan penne alla carlo. They have great cocktails too. Overall a lovely dining experience with great service.

Very nice location, not too many people, quiet and nice music.

We had Bruschetta alla Carlo, with tomatoes and garlic and after penne and couscous.
Really yummy.
Highly recommended.
Also homemade lemonades.

Very nice spot, more of a cocktail and wine bar with small food menu rather than a full service restaurant. All food is vegetarian and about half of the dishes are vegan. Great for a drink and small bites, especially the bruschetta.

The place is fine for drinks ,nice atmosphere but for dinner, as a vegan- NO! The menu is small, a few starters, brushetta. The 1 vegan pasta dish was not available. 22 euros had it been. Soo expensive. There were no other vegan mains offered and nothing to substitute. My olive pate brushetta was nice enough but just a small scraping of the pate, 2 slices of cucumber and a few sundried tomatoes for 8 euros. Only one vegan dessert panacotta, didn't try it, if the tiramisu was vegan, we would have. I do hope they improve.

Given this is the only vegetarian restaurant in Taormina we were eager to try. The vegan menu was quite small (only bruschetta, carpaccioa and salads). We had the grain salad and carpaccio. None of these dishes impressed us, and they were very overpriced, tiny portions. You get much better vegan food in other places in Taormina

Read moreFor starters we tried the piccante bruschetta and the olive bruschetta. Both were delicious.
For mains, the highlight was the penne alla Carlo which had pistachio paste, garlic, pine nuts and tomatoes.
Word of warning - the spaghetti aglio, olio & peperoncino is marked as “very hot” on the menu. It was the hottest thing I’d ever eaten in my life a person from South Asia who LOVES her chillies. Do not order it unless you want that to be a lasting impression. 🌋
Staff were so friendly, the negroni and pina colada were stunning and the atmosphere was so special. Not a cheap eat but the quality of the food was so worth it.

Wonderful location, very attentive service, good ambiance nice music. I would suggest to only go for drinks. I wasn’t blown away from the food but from the price. If you don’t mind to pay and not have too high expectations on food, go for it. It was tasty, really, I can’t say it wasn’t good. I would give the restaurant as a constructive critique maybe to lower the prices or give more food or really cook homemade pasta and not supermarket stuff you can cook at home, same with the salad. I might be completely wrong and apologize in advance if thats not the case and all was bio and artisan…

First of all, the place is absolutely beautiful. It has one of the coolest appearances of any restaurant I’ve experienced in Sicily. The wait staff is amazingly friendly and cheerful. The food itself was lovely, though I do wish they had more Vegan options (when we visited there were only 2 Vegan appetizers and 1 Vegan entrée, and they were out of the 1 vegan dessert), but what we ate was very tasty. They also have very unique and delicious cocktails.

This one day I felt dizzy as I couldn't find vegan food in almost any restaurants. "No" was the answer in most cases when I asked if the restaurants served any vegan food or could prepare some.
Read moreFinally, we came across this place and with it's beautiful patio we were totally sold. Sat down and ordered some drinks. This place has gins and at the time had 21 brewed beers too. For the food part, we still had to wait another hour and a half until they opened the kitchen. In Taormina it's very common they open the kitchen only at 7 pm as they did here.
Was happy to find out that the whole menu was vegetarian and that they had vegan food on the menu, not one or two dishes but more.
The dishes looked pretty and we were over the moon about it. Really liked the place, the atmosphere, staff and food ofcourse. I wish there were more places like this one in Taormina!

Lovely veggie restuarant - Edit
The restaurant has a few vegan options and the pasta dish was delicious. It's a really lovely setting and you just turn up. If there aren't seats, you can just sit on the steps outside and have a drink, although we didn't have to wait long at all despite it being July and busy!
