This is a wonderful vegetarian place. It is in an old bungalow (built in 1939, hence the name)with a nice garden and down a little alleyway away from the hustle and bustle. I sat in the tatami room accompanied by one of their resident cats and a shelf full of interesting books while a CD of Bob Dylan hits played in the background. All of their dishes are lacto-ovo vegetarian. I was able to order a lovely meal of roasted vegetables, salad, and bread that omitted the eggs and dairy. Do check beforehand which dishes can be made vegan, as not all of them can be.

Pros: nice setting, quality food, dual-language menu
Cons: heavily feature eggs and dairy
