A vegetarian restaurant and cafe in an old bungalow down an alley way in central Hualien city. All dishes are lacto-ovo vegetarian and heavily feature cheese and eggs but some can be requested to be made vegan. Roasted vegetables, fried rice, bruschetta, shepherd's pie, tea and coffee. Open Mon-Tue 9:00am-5:00pm, Fri-Sun 9:00am-5:00pm. Closed Wed & Thu.

Atmospheric restaurant - Edit

This is a wonderful vegetarian place. It is in an old bungalow (built in 1939, hence the name)with a nice garden and down a little alleyway away from the hustle and bustle. You can sit in the tatami room or on one of the antique tables accompanied by one of their resident cats.
All of their dishes are lacto-ovo vegetarian. I was able to omit the eggs and dairy for the meals that I have tried here. But if you are pure-vegan, do check beforehand which dishes can be made so, as the bread may contain eggs or dairy.
The menu is in English and Chinese. If you are with a group it may be a good idea to book ahead during weekends as it can get rather busy.
