Lovely experience

It was a really lovely experience and felt good value for the £55pp lunch (welcome drinks, bread and spread, 3 courses, and complementary tea infusion to take away) but I agree with other reviewers that it was seriously lacking in protein, and we got hungry quickly afterwards. Wonderful staff, beautiful interiors, and interesting little visit to the fermenting shed. Would like to see more filling vegan options.

Good

I loved the atmosphere. Both the vegan and carnist menus repeated the same flavor profiles including (I think) re- using the same sauce in multiple dishes. I wish the vegan menu had more protein. The house made dry vermouth was incredible. Overall, I'd go again but I wish they'd make a couple modifications

Disappointing for a Michelin star meal

I was excited about this as I heard a lot of thought went into the vegan meals. The interior was nice, the atmosphere was good. We paid £160 for the lunch menu and wine. There was little protein in the vegan option and it shouldn’t have been as expensive as the meat option. A lot of the sauces were weirdly sweet and I felt it needed more balance. I read rice pudding for the dessert and hoped that would fill us up but it was a tiny portion of rice pudding flavoured ice cream with rhubarb. The wine was good.

A whole vegan tasting menu

They have their own vegan tasting menu and paired wines or softs. it's an incredible experience and Fantastic service. they have a Michelin star and it's very well deserved. The owners and all staff were incredible, lovely and knowledgeable.

Pros: a whole vegan tasting menu, You get what you pay for, exquisite service & food

Amazing 7 course VEGAN menu

This is the best 7 course vegan menu I have ever had! Seriously delicious, thoughtful and seasonal menu! Can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Wide variety of local, seasonal foods, 7 very different and unique courses
