Always fantastic, now with even more veggie options

My love for Tikka Indian Grill is too much to put into words. This place has divine food and incredibly friendly people. I’ve been eating here for years and every experience has been stellar. I’m not able to give them five stars on HappyCow because they’re not fully vegetarian, but this is one of the few times I wish I could. Their veg-options, their awareness, and their careful labeling are exceptional.

The Tofu Mushroom Jalfrezi and the Aloo Gobi samosas are my favorite items. Tikka uses incredibly fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooks them to perfection. I wish I could know where they buy their mushrooms and bell peppers, because I’ve never found such juicy, perfect ones in any store myself. Tikka’s tofu is positively dreamy. It’s as tender and perfectly seasoned as I’ve had anywhere. And the Aloo Gobi samosas? Don’t get me started. I rarely meet a samosa I don’t like, but Tikka’s are on another level. The samosa pastry is gorgeously crisp and flaky, no matter whether I’m dining in or getting delivery. The filling is delicious and the chutneys, especially the mint one, are great complements. Oh, and the papadum are just as delectably crisp and addictive!

Tikka has added even more vegetarian/vegan options since the HC listing description was written. It has a whole menu section for dishes using Impossible products now: 4 vegetarian options (korma, kofta, saag, and tikka masala) and 4 vegan options (vindaloo, jalfrezi, curry, and kebab). Tikka is excellent with labeling and communicating veggie options. I was already such a fan of this restaurant, and they keep adding more and more fantastic veggie options to their menu!

It feels greedy to ask for more, but I would love to try a vegan version of Saag as well as basmati rice at Tikka. I know they would be exceptional. That said, the vegan brown rice is great and I’m very satisfied with the existing vegan options.

Tikka has a few locations and the food is consistently wonderful at all of them. I’ve only been to the Kew Gardens and Williamsburg locations in person, but they are nice spots to dine-in and the staff has always been lovely.

Pros: Tons of delicious veggie options, Fresh and perfectly cooked food, Lovely people

Cons: I can’t stop daydreaming about their samosas, Sometimes I really want vegan basmati rice , But mostly I need to stop these samosa dreams

Great Indian Food!

The restaurant has great staff and a good standard selection of curries. The naan is very fluffy and soft compared to most other Indian restaurants which was interesting!
They have a vegan/vegetarian menu with a good selection of items.
What stood out to us was their pumpkin kala chana which isn't such a standard for most Indian restaurants: and was definitely our favorite dish we ordered!

Pros: Vegan/vegetarian menu, Helpful staff, Curry😄

Great vegan options!

I live close by so it’s a go-to for me. The menu is clearly marked with vegan options and there are many wonderful dishes to choose from although my favorite is the pumpkin kala chana with a side of roti and the vegetable soup. The flavors and variety of dishes definitely deserve 5 stars.

Pros: 8 vegan entrees , All vegan items are marked as such , Very flavorful

Cons: Not as many vegan appetizers/sides
