great vegan options & charging extra for dairy 🙌 - Edit
such a gorgeous little spot in richmond right by the river, absolutely loads of vegan options - at least 6 vegan cakes to choose from and a great vegan menu as well. also so great to see that they serve non-dairy milk as standard and charge 15p extra for organic dairy 🙌

Nice vegan cakes in lovely setting - Edit
I came here for breakfast this morning and although there weren’t all that many vegan breakfast options there was an excellent apple cake which was very tasty! Such a beautiful spot by the water too.

Relaxed riverside cafe with lots of vegan choice - Edit
The cafe is located next to Richmond Bridge and you can grab a seat outside and enjoy the Thames. There’s lots of vegan choice and it wasn’t too busy when we visited on a Monday lunch time but gets busy at the weekend. We had the vegan samosa and sausage roll which were both delicious but the best part was the raspberry and pistachio cake - so good! Prices are a little on the high side but what isn’t these days!

Lovely but not all vegan - Edit
We stopped by for a light lunch before walking along the river. The cakes looked so good that we added some to our order. Many vegan options - but not 100% plant based. The café is self service - meaning you order at the bar and grab a tray with your order to carry to a table.

Delicious treats by the Thames - Edit
We had two desserts and two drinks, apple almond pie, lemon poppy seeds cake, mocha and iced latte. Both desserts were delicious, soft, light, and not too sweet. The drinks were average. Outdoor seating area was very nice underneath big trees with the view of the river. The only downside is there was a very long queue regardless of many staff behind the counter. This seems to be usual and definitely needs a better management. Bring your patience and calmness when visiting!

Cute but expensive veggie café - Edit
Lovely location by the River Thames. Has a separate plant-based menu. Has a range of items that are clearly marked gluten free as well. Limited seating inside next to people queuing for service. Prices very much for Richmond strolling crowd.

A fave - Edit
My favourite coffee and cake place in Richmond if you can get in. Usually has a massive queue but I totally get why. They have a great range of vegan options, but it is definitely more on the expensive side though.

Extensive (but expensive) vegan range. I had soup and a sausage roll which came to almost £10! Saying that it was probably one of the best vegan sausage rolls I have eaten!! Lovely seating area outside by the river.

Gorgeous spot. I assumed it was entirely plant based but this app says no so I'm unsure. Anyway, what I had was - quiche and salad and delicious. Stunning spot too.

The quality of the coffee depends on who makes it but I'm generally lucky. Lovely salads and cakes. And the chick pea curry is delicious despite having no other veg in it.

Not anymore :( - Edit
I used to love the Tide Tables vegan chickpea curry, its seriously full of flavour! However it comes with yoghurt and naan bread, which is fine as I usually ask them to remove this and they give me £2 discount (Even so £6.50 for a simple bowl of chickpea curry no veg is pretty steep!)
Read moreHowever the last two times ive been I think it must be new management, they refuse to give me a discount in a pretty rude way, the chickpea curry wasnt as tasty as it used to be, and they dont have the same options as before.
Sad as it used to be so lovely to sit by the river for lunch!

Poor quality food, ignorant and disorganised staff and a bit untidy - Edit
We went here around 12:30 on Nov12. The staff didn't know they had a vegan menu, and they were struggling to organise themselves even if was an quiet afternoon. The food was very simple and didn't taste much (harissa flat bread and falafel plate). The café has magic location and potential. Just make sure you train your staff or replace them, and review the menu.

Always good for a bite. The staff here are exceptionally friendly. In the warmer months, this cafe has an outside space with a great riverside view. Affordable. They sell Fairtrade items here, which is a big plus.

shame it isn't better for vegans - Edit
This is a cute wee cafe in a great location. Unfortunately they don't do vegan well here. I wish they did. I would love to go back when the weather is better and sit outside. The vegan menu was remarkably uninspired. Mainly humous & falafel salad type things. It also had a chickpea curry which was more expensive than most of the options (£6) and I went for that. When I was checking the smoothy I was ordering was vegan, the server asked if I was vegan & I said yes. She then removed the naan bread she was about to give me as she said that wasn't vegan. I was then served a soup bowl full of chickpeas that were cooked in curry sauce but that was all. No rice, no veg, just a bowl full of chickpeas. I asked the server if that was it & she said yes. I said it was a poor dish and she shrugged. There were more chickpeas in the bowl than a person would rationally want to eat. She served it with a slice of stale bread (I think it was meant to be toasted) and butter. I gave her the butter back and there was no vegan spread. It was a really bad meal. I wrote to the owner and suggested they could offer better vegan food without much effort but I didn't get a reply. I won't go back for food, but maybe a cup of tea. There was no vegan cake either btw - just sorbet. Shame it was all so poor really.

Good coffee, stale food - Edit
Visited today specifically because they were listed on happycow as having some vegan options. Woman serving us was really rude but the guy making the coffee was nice. Coffee was good and they offer both soy and almond milk which is impressive. The almond twist (vegan sweet option) was really stale. The chocolate cake (not vegan) ordered by my partner was described as dry and bland. A cute location but we would not return.
