Should go vegan - Edit
Food is nice, see photos. However, in 2020, why is tiramisu and so much more from the buffet not vegan? It would be very easy.

Love having Tibits in Switzerland. It's always there for you, open continuously, decent choice of foods on the buffet and at the counter and very friendly staff.

Nice vegan buffet selection - Edit
We came for lunch here. It was very busy and hard to find seating. The buffet was great. The selection was less than at Hiltl, but cheaper at CHF 4.30 per 100 g for mains and CHF 3.90 for dessert. The food was good. We had a pleasant lunch here.

Vegetarian buffet - Edit
Tibits is a chain, but each restaurant has a slightly distinct style. They offer a wide, and changing, range of buffet dishes. There is also a vegetarian 'butcher' place owned by Tibits close-by, they sell cooking books, and they offer cooking classes etc.

Vegan/Vegetarian Buffet with over 40 Options - Edit
Die Tibits-Kette bietet täglich ein Buffet mit über 40 Gerichten, die vegetarisch oder Vegan sind. Preis wird anhand Gewicht bestimmt.

Nice but nothing special - Edit
Went here for dinner one night while visiting Zurich. Food is buffet style and you pay by weight. The food was nice but I didn't think it was anything special. One of the things I got included tofu scramble, salads, samosas, and schnitzel. Everything is vegetarian, and vegan options are clearly marked. I was disappointed by the lack of vegan dessert options: there were one or two basics (e.g. fruit) but nothing special. It was reasonably priced based on other meals I'd bought in Zurich (I filled my plate and spent about 25 CHF).

Lots of variety and interesting dishes, to make up a weight-based meal. Yucca and seaweed were available, as well as gluten-free bread. Something for all tastes.

Always reliable - Edit
I'm not generally a big fan of buffet restaurants but Tibits is an easy place to find vegan food at any time of day in Zurich.
Read moreThey have some good dishes and is quick, but if course the quality of food will never compare to a restaurant where they cook it fresh. It can be hard to judge the cost too because it is based on weight, so be careful when losing up your plate.
Pros: Lots of options , Quick and easy
Cons: Food is nice but never amazing

Somewhat overrated - Edit
Relatively expensive for what it offers - I would expect more interesting vegan options. One feels the chain is now living off the brand name, and may be becoming complacent.

Excellent Selection! - Edit
So many vegan options to choose from! And it’s buffet style (pay by weight) so you can only take a little of everything to try as much as you want. It is kind of expensive if you ask me but I really enjoyed everything I had.

Very nice place with a wide choice of vegan foods (buffet). Everything I tried was just so delicious, I loved it!

Generous buffet - Edit
Visiting Tibits in any Swiss City was always a good choice. Great selection of mostly vegan foods at the buffet, also desserts. Some sandwiches as well. For take-away or eating-in. There is outdoor-seating, but it's very noisy there due to traffic. All critical ingredients are clearly labeled in German and English. Also noteworthy in my eyes is the all-vegan selection of wines by the glass.

Tasty but greasy - Edit
Buffet available with multiple hot and cold options. My complaint is that the hot options are usually very greasy--lots of fried items (felafel, samosas, fried balls); even the rice is shiny from oil.

Great choice - Edit
As is the case in the other Tibits next door, there are many different dishes, also vegan, and they taste delicious. One minor point though is that you only get Internet access for 30 minutes, so it's not ideal as a place to spend a few hours working, having coffee in combination with lunch, as we planned on doing. Considering how expensive it is, we would have expected a bit more in this respect.
Read moreWe ended up leaving after the first coffee to go to a different place to work. Still, it's a great place when you don't need Internet access.

Many choices for vegans! - Edit
Tibits is a chain restaurant with locations in many Swiss cities. Their concept is to offer a vegetarian buffet where you pay by weight. 100g of their buffet costs 4,20 CHF, desserts and fruits 3,50 CHF. Deduct 0,50 CHF if you buy your food for take-away. Expect to pay around 20 CHF for a full plate – which may sound expensive but is actually quite cheap for Switzerland.
Read moreThe buffet offers an amazing range of dishes, many of which are vegan. It is clearly marked which dishes are vegan. The food always seemed to be very fresh. Everything I tried was at least good, many things were really great. I especially liked all of their curries (Indian-inspired curries, Thai-inspired curries), Samosas, Guacamole, some of their salads (e.g. Bloody Mary Salad). Things that were just so-so include the spring rolls, the hummus, the vegan desserts (with the exception of the passion fruit mousse)
You can also have Bircher Muesli for breakfast! It is the best musli I have ever eaten, with lots of red berries.
They also have very good juices (Tutti Frutti), good coffee (with soya-almond-milk) and lemonade. Or you take some tap water for free.
The staff is very friendly, the location modern and inviting (but often busy). They also have outdoor seating. Tibits Seefeld is just off the “Opernhaus” tram stop.
Pros: many vegan choices, great food, friendly staff
