Chinese name 添福苑素食会所, address 桂林市七星区穿山小街4号水云天1栋1号. Nicely decorated vegetarian restaurant modeled after another vegetarian restaurant in Guilin, Tianfulou, and offers an identical daily lunch and dinner buffet that costs around 36rmb, served from 11am-1pm and 5-8m. Try the Guilin specialty: a bitter soup/tea called youcha. The buffet is in the basement level, and you could bring your food to the first floor or sit outside. During other times you could get tea and snacks. Directions: turn left (north) out ChuanShan Park and the restaurant is 200m on the right. Reported closed to HappyCow. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-8:30pm.

Nice buffet - Edit
I tried the 12:00 to 14:00 lunch buffet here, which I found pretty good. The buffet seems to be popular among locals, so consider making a reservation or you have to eat in a big table with others. Some of the dishes have dairy but it's relatively easy to spot. Ask the staff if you're unsure - Mandarin skills help.
The only problem with the restaurant was that the restaurant hall in the basement floor smelled strongly of cat urine.
Pros: good value for money
Cons: not vegan, smelly
